Welcome to NGB and our Fantasy Life i walkthrough for The Paladin’s Story questline! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start The Paladin’s Story Questline
To begin The Paladin’s Story questline in Fantasy Life i, select the Paladin Life License in Eternia Village’s Guild Office.
Next, speak with Cuna on the other side of the room in the Guild Office and Paladin’s Guild to become a Novice.
Paladin Life Challenges
Novice Challenges
Protect the Peace
First, you’ll need to travel to the Capital of Mysteria and speak with Arsenio, who is guarding the entrance to the capital.
Next, travel to the market on the east side of the capital and speak with the Market Lady next to the Material Shop to learn of a late shipment.
After your conversation, travel back to Eternia Village and speak with the merchant north of town, near the map transition.
You’ll then need to defeat the two wolves. During a cutscene, you’ll learn how to use Shields. Afterward, another battle will begin. This time, you’ll need to defeat two Swindawolves and a Swindaboss.
After the battle, return the Stolen Goods to the Market Lady. As a reward, you’ll receive 200 Dosh. You’ll then need to return to Cuna in the Paladin’s Guild to complete the challenge.
Fledgling Challenges
A Frog’s Worst Enemy
For the A Frog’s Worst Enemy life challenge, you’ll need to defeat Tropic Toads 6 times as a Paladin. You can find them on the northeastern beach in Eternia Village.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
A Hard-Headed Bunch
For the A Hard-Headed Bunch life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 6 Tortortoise as a Paladin. These monsters can be found on the southwestern beach in the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Crush the Cornies
For the Crush the Cornies life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 6 Corny as a Paladin. Corny can be found east of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Giving Works a Break
For the Giving Works a Break life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 6 Worker Bees as a Paladin. These monsters can be found on the east side of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Protect the Road
For the Protect the Road life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 6 Red Wolves as a Paladin. You can find these monsters west of the Capital of Mysteria at night.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
Roly-Poly Swordsman
For the Roly-Poly Swordsman life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 6 Proto Beetle Ballers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters west of the Capital of Mysteria at night.
As a reward, you’ll receive 100 Stars.
The Corny Boss
For The Corny Boss life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 2 Cornella as a Paladin. These monsters can be found by the pond at the top of a waterfall west of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
The Mysterian Gale
For The Mysterian Gale life challenge, you’ll need to learn the Sonic Blade I skill from the Skill Board then use Sonic Blade I to strike enemies 20 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 50 Stars.
Apprentice Challenges
Beware the Quetzal
For the Beware the Quetzal life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Tunoco Quetzal as a Paladin. This monster can be found northwest of the Capital of Mysteria.
As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
Heavenly Strike
For the Heavenly Strike life challenge, you’ll need to use the Saintly Slash skill 20 times. As a reward, you’ll receive 150 Stars.
Mow Like a Pro
For the Mow Like a Pro life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 8 Weedlings as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in the Lulab Forest during the day only.
Enter the forest from the Valley of Spirits to find a group of them in the first area. If you head north through the log then head east, you will reach another group. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
No Fakes Allowed
For the No Fakes Allowed life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Pseudo Cherry as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in the southeastern corner of the Lulab Forest.
To find them, enter the forest from the Valley of Spirits. Once inside, head north to the next circle area then head east and go all the way to the south. Once there, head east to find the Pseudo Cherry. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
No Monkeying Around
For the No Monkeying Around life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 8 Applejack Apes as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in the Lulab Forest.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Punish the Peach Bees
For the Punish the Peach Bees life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 8 Peach Bees as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island during the day.
Additionally, you can find some on the east side of Idylla Village near the entrance to Lulab Forest. As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Roly-Poly Powerful Swordsman
For the Roly-Poly Powerful Swordsman life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 8 Fluff Ballers as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in the Lulab Forest on Faraway Island.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
The Big One
For The Big One life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Giant Grass Serpents as a Paladin. The Giant Grass Serpents can be found southeast of the Valley of Spirits near the ledges leading to Idylla Village.
As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Watch Your Step
For the Watch Your Step life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 8 Grass Serpents as a Paladin. These monsters can be found in Lulab Forest. Enter Lulab Forest from Idylla Village to find two in the first area of the forest.
Additionally, you’ll find some near the map transition to the center of the forest by the Old Man.
As a reward, you’ll receive 250 Stars.
Adept Challenges
A Frog’s Worst Enemy Returns
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Splash Frogs as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Da Finci and Profunda Cave. Both of which are in the Tropica Isles.
As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Breaking the Ice
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Frosty Radishy as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Yohoho Cavern, which can be found in the Tropica Isles.
As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Chasing the Dark Shadow
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Umbral Runners as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Da Finci Cave, which is in the Tropica Isles. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
More Ice Breaking
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Frosty Radishella as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Yohoho Cavern, which can be found in the Tropica Isles. As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
Panther Purge
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Black Panthers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Yohoho Cavern. As a reward, you’ll receive 500 Stars.
Prickly Beach
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Stelleroid as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Tropica Isles and in Da Finci Cave. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Roly-Poly Peerless Swordsman
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Star Beetle Ballers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Da Finci Cave, which is in the Tropica Isles. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Roly-Poly Snowy Swordsman
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 10 Snow Beetle Ballers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in Yohoho Cavern, which is in the Tropica Isles. As a reward, you’ll receive 350 Stars.
Search for the Goldmeer
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Goldmeer as a Paladin. You can find this monster in Lulab Forest on Faraway Island. As a reward, you’ll receive 700 Stars.
The King’s Thunderbolts
For this life challenge, you will need to use the Lightning Strike skill 20 times. As a reward, you will receive 250 Stars.
Expert Challenges
Are You Afraid of the Dark
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Cave Bats as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
Heavenly Shield
For this life challenge, you’ll need to use the Divine Shield I skill 20 times as a Paladin. As a reward, you’ll receive 300 Stars.
Mini Spooky Exorcism
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Mini Spooky as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
Radishella Eradication
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Radishella as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B1 & B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Radishy Eradication
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Radishy as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
Red as the Setting Sun
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Crimson Razorbeaks as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B2. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
Spooking the Spooky
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Wicked Spooky as a Paladin. You can find this monster in the Yohoho Cavern. As a reward, you’ll receive 950 Stars.
Stirring in the Dark
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Cave Panthers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B2. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Stop Those Scoundrels
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Jackals as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B2. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
They Have Fangs…
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Apegore as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B2. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
The Hoodlum Boss
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 3 Taurus as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Watch Out for Hoodlums
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Rowdy Woolie as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
You Versus the Wild
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 12 Feral Bats as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B2. As a reward, you’ll receive 450 Stars.
Master Challenges
Bleh! Cobweb in my Mouth!
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 4 Greater Sand Spiders as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
Blizzard-Be-Gone
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Blizzbear as a Paladin. You can find this monster in the Depths – B3 during the night. As a reward, you’ll receive 1300 Stars.
Challenge the Champion
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 4 King Cobra as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
Defeat the Dragons
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Napdragon as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Cave of Trials B4. As a reward, you’ll receive 1500 Stars.
Grind the Golems
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Stone Golem as a Paladin. You can find this monster in the Depths – B3 during the day. As a reward, you’ll receive 1300 Stars.
Holy Knight
For this life challenge, you’ll need to use Elemental Edge 20 times as a Paladin. As a reward, you’ll receive 400 Stars.
Mince the Mohawkasaurus
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 1 Mohawkasaurus as a Paladin. You can find this monster in the Depths – B3 during the day. As a reward, you’ll receive 1300 Stars.
Prickly Wasteland
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 15 Cave Stars as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Roly-Poly Dreamy Swordsman
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 15 Ancient Beetle Ballers as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Silence the Royal Spookies
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 4 Royal Spooky as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
The Red Hot One
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 15 Flame Serpents as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
They Have Deadly Fangs…
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 4 Alpha Coyotes as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 800 Stars.
They Have Sharp Fangs
For this life challenge, you’ll need to defeat 15 Grotto Wolves as a Paladin. You can find these monsters in the Depths – B3. As a reward, you’ll receive 600 Stars.
Watch Out for Cobwebs
