The Outer Worlds 2 Pet Guide
Collectible pets in The Outer Worlds 2 aren’t just adorable—they add personality and life to your journey across the colonies. From quirky alien critters to loyal mechanical companions, each pet can be discovered in hidden corners of the galaxy or earned through special quests. In the list below, you’ll find every collectible pet, along with where to find them and how to bring them aboard your ship.
Eden – Paradise Island Pets
Hover Drone
Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center: You can purchase this pet from Hazel’s Automated Wares and Repairs for 1,000 bits at Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center. This area will be accessible during the Saga of the Malfunctioning Mechanicals side quest.
Lucy, The Sick Crabble
Crabble Farm: The first pet you’ll likely come across while gallivanting around Arcadia is Lucy. She can be found at Paradise Island on Eden, south of the Landing Pad at the Crabble Farm.
Make your way there and speak with Crab Rancher Casey, who will ask if you know anything about crabble medicine. She’ll then tell the commander that she fed Lucy some Purpleberry Krunch, which has inadvertently made her sick.
After you’ve finished talking with Casey, head over to Lucy and interact with her to be presented with several options:
- Treat Lucy the Crabble
- Feed Lucy More Purpleberry Krunch
- Expend Trauma Kit
To save Lucy, you’ll either need to treat her or use the trauma kit. Picking one of those options will result in the crabble making a miraculous recovery. You’ll then be able to speak with Casey, who will give you a key to the safe in her house as thanks. If you speak with Lucy afterward, you’ll then have the option to adopt her as a pet for the ship!
Dorado – Golden Ridge Pets
Desert Verachnid
From the Guardian Estates fast travel point, head southeast, following along the river, to stumble upon an Injured Verachnid Hiveling next to a crystal formation.
Heal it using one of the following methods:
- Trauma Kit
- Medical 8
- Nature’s Friend Perk
Once healed, it will become a pet on your ship!
Zyranium Mantiwasp
Fort Endurance: The Zyranium Mantiwasp can be purchased from Bonnie’s Battlefield Bazaar at Fort Endurance on Dorado’s Golden Ridge for 2,000 bits.
The ACS Undisputed Claim Pets
Gold Canid
The Value-Added Esplanade: This pet can be purchased from the Unrelated Bric-A-Brac shop in The Value-Added Esplanade.
Raptidon Juvenile
The Value-Added Esplanade: This pet can be purchased from the Unrelated Bric-A-Brac shop in The Value-Added Esplanade.
Praetor Pets
Electric Mantiwasp
Auntie’s Border Camp: This pet can be purchased from Quartermaster Owsley at Auntie’s Border Camp for 3,000 bits.
N-Radiated Raptidon Juvenile
Open the door of a drop pod west of the Grounding Station to find this starving raptidon juvenile inside. Offer the juvenile a Meaty Roll-up then take it along as your pet!
N-Radiated Verachnid
Travel southwest of Central Control to find an Injured Verachnid Hiveling.
If you treat it using one of the following means, you can obtain this creature as a pet!
- 1 Vacuum Tube, 1 Magnet, 2 Scrap Metal
- Sneak 4
- Nimble Trait
- Medical 4
- Nature’s Friend Perk
Cloister Pets
Crabble Hatchling
Laplace’s Garden: The Crabble Hatchling can be purchased from the Scientician’s Surplus shop in Laplace’s Garden on Cloister for 3,000 bits.
Icy Mantiwasp
Winter’s Grasp: You can purchase this pet from the Go-Getter’s Goods at Winter’s Grasp.
DLC Pets
Premium Edition Sprat
The Premium Edition Sprat is a DLC pet that can be obtained by purchasing the premium version of the game.
Zane’s Bot
Zane’s Bot is a DLC pet that you’ll get for having the Commander Zane’s Battle Pack.
