Advanced Decryption Keys Guide
What Are Advanced Decryption Keys
An Advanced Decryption Key is a key used to open High Security Lockboxes from the dispenser on the Incognito. These lockboxes contain valuable loot that will help make your journey easier, and you will come across them while traveling through Arcadia, trying to find a way to close the rift threatening the system.

Where to Find Advanced Decryption Keys
Advanced Decryption Keys can be found around Arcadia. You can find them in out-of-the-way locations or receive them as rewards for completing some of the quests throughout the game. This section will cover where to find Advanced Decryption Keys, separating them by the planet or moon where they can be found.
Eden – Paradise Island Advanced Decryption Keys
Advanced Decryption Key 1
The first key you’ll come across will be on Paradise Island. From the landing pad, follow along the water heading northeast, and swing right along the ocean. This will bring you a building on the water where people will be fishing.
Head inside the building to find the key on a table next to the radio.
Advanced Decryption Key 2
You can purchase an Advanced Decryption key from the More Perfect Goods shop in Fairfield on Eden’s Paradise Island for 1,000 bits.
Advanced Decryption Key 3
The next Advanced Decryption Key is obtained as a quest reward for completing the Diabolical Drones of Doom task.
Advanced Decryption Key 4
Another Advanced Decryption Key can be found at Sovereign’s Sweet Spire Grove, atop the stuck Harvester platform. It will be on a crate in the northern part of the platform. You’ll need to progress the A Final Death for Gravity quest to reach it.
Advanced Decryption Key 5
This Advanced Decryption Key is given as a reward for completing the Schemes of the Secret Smugglers side quest.
Advanced Decryption Keys 6 & 7
To find this Advanced Decryption Key, travel along the beach southwest of Crabble Farm to the very southern point of Paradise Island. There you’ll find a building that has been sealed. To restore power, you must head to the substation up the path to the northwest.
Once there, head to the southeastern side of the station to find a building with a ladder.
Climb up the ladder and use one of the following to power up the station:
- Engineering 3
- Innovative Trait
- Substation Repair Kit
- Inside the building, it requires Sneak 2 or Nimble trait to enter through the side grate
After powering up the station, climb down the ladder and head into the building it’s attached to. Inside, use the machine to charge the fuse, then take it. Exit the building and head to the building diagonally across the station.
Insert the Charged Substation Fuse into the receptacle to the left of the door, then head inside. On the table, grab the Corrosive Shock Machine Gun.
Next, return to the building along the coast and head inside to find the Advanced Decryption Key on the table by the bed.
In the back of this building, open the safe to find another Advanced Decryption Key.
Advanced Decryption Key 8
This key can be found on a table inside a building with a faulty door along the western coast, northwest of Fairfield. To open the door, you will need any one of the following:
- Brawny Trait
- Engineering 1
- Hack 3 (on the left wall of the building)
Advanced Decryption Key 9
You’ll come across this key at a campsite in the hills west of Westport. You can find it near one of the tents.
Advanced Decryption Key 10
The Advanced Decryption Key can be found in the main terminal room in the Ministry of Accuracy on Floor 1.
It will be on a table in the same room as the High Security Lockbox.
Advanced Decryption Key 11
You can purchase an Advanced Decryption Key from the Requisitions Mech in Westport for 1,000 bits.
Advanced Decryption Key 12 and 13
The Hazel’s Automated Wares and Repairs shop at the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center will offer two Advanced Decryption Keys for 1,000 bits each.
Advanced Decryption Key 14
Another Advanced Decryption Key can be purchased from the Human Repair Center (Doctor) at the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center for 1,000 bits.
Advanced Decryption Key 15
This Advanced Decryption Key can be found on the shelving unit next to the workbench in the restricted section on the northern side of Westport.
Advanced Decryption Key 16
This Advanced Decryption Key can be found in a chest at a power station to the northwest of The Bridge of the Reverent. If you have Engineering 3, you can open the front door. If not, head to the northwestern side of the power station to find some rocks that you can use to hop the fence.
Once inside, be mindful of the dragoon! To remove the electricity guarding the chest on the northeastern side of the station, follow the cord to the switch!
Advanced Decryption Key 17
You’ll receive this Advanced Descryption Key from the chest at the end of the Who Else But Us side quest.
Advanced Decryption Keys 18 & 19
These Advanced Decryption Keys can be found in the locker of the secret room at the end of The Saboteur of Paradise main mission.
Dorado – Golden Ridge Advanced Decryption Keys
Advanced Decryption Keys 20 & 21
You can purchase these keys from Sub Rosa Agent Kobor, the Back Alley Value shop on the southwestern side of Matriarch’s Mercy in a train car. To enter the car, you will need to have completed the Schemes of the Secret Smugglers side quest!
Advanced Decryption Key 22
This key can be found in a tram car southwest of the Landing Pad.
Advanced Decryption Key 23
You’ll receive an Advanced Decryption Key for completing the For a Few Digits More task.
Advanced Decryption Key 24
You’ll receive an Advanced Decryption Key for completing the Battle with the Beastly Brigands task.
Advanced Decryption Key 25
This Advanced Decryption Key can be purchased from Bonnie’s Battlefield Bazaar at Fort Endurance on Dorado’s Golden Ridge.
Advanced Decryption Key 26 & 27
You can find two Advanced Decryption Keys during the Beginning at the Endpoint side quest. The first one will require that you pickpocket Proctor Svovoda in her office at the start of the quest. The second will be on a table in the secret area at the end of the quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 28
The Advanced Decryption Key can be found on a table when exiting the N-Ray Range after completing the Discrete Mathematics main quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 29
This key will be given as a reward for completing the Missive from the Lost Days side quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 30
You’ll find a key in a chest at the Alexandria Monastery exterior between the two sealed gates.
Advanced Decryption Key 31
This key will be given as a reward for completing the Imprisoned by the Riddles of Reality side quest.
Free Market Station Advanced Decryption Keys
Advanced Decryption Key 32
During The Last Voyage of the ACS Free Market quest, solve Otto’s puzzle to open the secret room containing his journal. In this room, you’ll find this key in the safe.
Greater Tranquility Station Advanced Decryption Keys

If you have Engineering 5, disable the landing pad gate hydraulics for the other ship docked at the station so you can explore it.
Once the gate is down, enter the other ship and pick up the Advanced Decryption Key next to the Earth Directorate Satellite.

You can obtain this key from Luther Okada during the Listening for a Clue companion quest.
Praetor Advanced Decryption Keys

This Advanced Decryption Key can be found in the Tomb of the Matriarch – Lower Level. It will be in a chest, just past the vault. You’ll come here for Niles’ Do More Harm companion quest.

Complete the Cave Cleanup task to unlock Order Requisitionist Fitzgibbons as a vendor at Grounding Station.
Advanced Decryption Key 39
This Advanced Decryption Key can be found on a corpse inside a drop pod just southwest of the entrance to the Intersitial Reconfiguration Center.
Advanced Decryption Key 40
This key can be found in a small building between the Intertitial Reconfiguration Center and the Automech Production Facility.
Advanced Decryption Key 41
This key can be found on the far northwestern corner of Praetor next to a device that will begin the Stabbing at Shadows companion quest!
Advanced Decryption Keys 42, 43, & 44
During the An Instrument to Unfold Space & Time main quest, pickpocket Lead Researcher Hurley at the Interstitial Reconfiguration – Floor 1.
Advanced Decryption Key 45
During the An Instrument to Unfold Space & Time main quest, you’ll either receive this Advanced Decryption Key directly from Vaillantcourt, or you can loot it from his corpse.
Advanced Decryption Key 46
You’ll receive this key as a reward from Millie upon completing the Escape From Placid Waters side quest.
Cloister Advanced Decryption Keys
Advanced Decryption Keys 47 & 48
These two keys can be purchased from Persephone’s Felonious Wares at the pub in Laplace’s Garden on Cloister.
Advanced Decryption Key 49
The Advanced Decryption Key can be found on a ground-level table in the Excogitation Chapel.
Advanced Decryption Keys 50 & 51
You can purchase two keys from the Sub Rosa Vendor’s Perfectly Legitimate Goods shop at the Sub Rosa Smuggler.
Advanced Decryption Key 52
This key can be found inside the Excogitation Chapel! To open the jammed door, you will need the Brawny trait or Engineering 4. Otherwise, enter from the back door and take the vent to reach a door leading to an outdoor area.
From there, follow the balcony around to find a door. Enter through this door and jump across the hole in the floor to find this key nearby.
Advanced Decryption Key 53
This key can be found on the corpse of a dead soldier northeast of Auntie’s Choice Forward Operating Base.
Advanced Decryption Key 54
This key can be obtained in a building just north of Newton – South fast travel point. You’ll come to this area during the Fusing Fractured Forces quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 55
This Advanced Decryption Key is given as a reward for completing the Fusing Fractured Forces quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 56
You can find this key in the Excogitation Chapel east of Winter’s Grasp. It will be on a table on the second level.
Advanced Decryption Key 57
This key will be awarded to you for completing the A Study In Disruption quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 58
This key can be found southeast of Winter’s Grasp at the base of a tower next to the Crate Full of Mysterious Rations, which is needed for The Case of the Mystery Rations quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 59
This key will be given to you by Artificer Laureate Enola Kraft during the Crash Course in Telemetry quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 60
This Advanced Decryption Key can be found behind a jammed door on the southern side of the Archive – Floor 2. To unjam it, you’ll need either the Brawny trait or Engineering 5.
Advanced Decryption Key 61
This key can be purchased from Ashford’s Subterranean Supplies in Cloister Underlands, which is reachable via the Archive.
Advanced Decryption key 62
This key can be found on a shelving unit in a room with a rift in the Cloister Underlands. You’ll come here during the Contraband Contrivance task.
Advanced Decryption Key 63
You will be awarded an Advanced Decryption Key for completing the Contraband Contrivance task.
Advanced Decryption Key 64
This key can be found on the corpse next to the Auxiliary Pump Readjustment Kit, which you’ll need for the A Complication with the Computronic Cerebrum main quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 65
This key can be found in a container next to the Thermal Transfer Control Terminal, which you’ll need to use during the A Complication with the Computronic Cerebrum main quest.
Advanced Decryption Key 66
This key can be found during the A Way Back to the Light quest. It will be in the room filled with the mechs on the lower level by the northwestern lift.
Advanced Decryption Key 67
This key can be found at the southwestern Excogitation Chapel, located at the top of a mountain. To reach it, you’ll need to complete the A Way Back to the Light side quest in the Cloister Underlands. Once there, head to the kitchen on the first floor to find a corpse. Loot it to receive this key!
Advanced Decryption Key 68
This key can be found on a corpse on the Cloister Underlands’ northern bridge.
Advanced Decryption Key 69
This key can be found in a container through an icy hole on the southeastern side of the Archive – Floor 1.
Advanced Decryption Key 70
This key can be found in a container on the southwestern side of the Archive – Floor 4.
