How to Start The Master’s Son Quest
To begin The Master’s Son quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, speak with Azzan in the Anvil Fighters Guild about “Contract” after completing the Den of Theives quest.
The Master’s Son Walkthrough
Report to Modryn Oreyn in Chorrol
Travel to the Chorrol Fighters Guild and speak with Modryn Oreyn about “Duties”.
Collect Viranus Donton
Head nearby to Vilena Donton’s house and speak with Viranus to acquire him as a follower.
Discover the Fate of Galtus Previa
Travel to Nonwyll Cavern, which is north of Chorrol.
Once there, make sure no harm comes to Viranus as he runs through the cavern to the Nonwyll Chamber of the Titans. Along the way, you’ll encounter some trolls.
After heading into the Nonwyll Chamber of the Titans, you’ll fight some ogres.
Press forward, taking the path to the east, to fight more creatures. Head south up the slight ramp then take a left.
Ignore the path on your right and keep following the path, passing a chest, to find another path heading north. Take this path to find the body of Galtus Previa.
Return to Modryn Oreyn
With your task complete, return to Modryn Oreyn to report the bad news. As a reward, you’ll receive the Dagger of Shattering and the quest will complete.
