How to Start The Last Cask Quest
To begin The Last Cask quest in Octopath Traveler 0, you’ll need to complete the Master of Wealth -Ch.1: The Covetous Witch main story quest. Upon doing so, travel to Valore: Main District and speak with the man in the northeastern corner, just past the church.
He’ll ask if you like Brandy, then say that he used to make some before Herminia bought up all of the fields.
The Last Cask Walkthrough
Find a Buyer for the Brandy
To find a buyer, you’ll need to leave Valore and make your way over to Theatropolis, located in the Flatlands region to the east. Once you’ve arrived, enter the tavern, just north of the entrance.
Inside, speak with the Liquor Connoisseur standing behind one of the tables on the east side of the room. They will mention that they were unable to get their hands on the brandy from Valore.
Use your path action to inquire about them, then follow that up with the hire action to make them a Helper. It will normally cost you 170 leaves, or 120 with the discount.
Take the Noble to the Distiller
Now that the Liquor Connoisseur (LC) is a Helper, head back to our brandy friend in the Valore Main District. Speak with our brandy friend to trigger an event where LC will identify the cask as the brandy he’s been searching for.
He’ll then offer to fund the seller so he can make more! This will complete the side story, rewarding you with 1500 leaves and an increase to your Wealth Rank.
