How to Start the Bird in the Mountains Quest
To begin the Bird in the Mountains shrine quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, speak with Molli in Rito Village after calming the divine beast.
She’ll be sitting on a small flight pad when heading down the stairs from the elder. Molli will tell Link a story about her grandpa, who stopped a big tree while he was climbing a big mountain. While there, he saw a huge, snow-white birdie with something super important in its belly!
How to Complete the Bird in the Mountains Quest
Investigate the Big Tree
Make your way up to the big tree, northwest of Rito Village at Talonto Peak, indicated by the red marker in the below image.
From there, you’ll want to head northwest towards Biron Snorshelf (the blue marker on the above image). Along the way, you’ll spot an opening on the side of the shelf with a shrine inside.
Glide into the opening to reach the shrine and interact with its terminal to complete the quest!
The shrine unlocked after completing this quest is the Mozo Shennon Shrine. To clear the shrine, you’ll need to pass its test: A Major Feat of Strength. This has you fighting a powerful Guardian Scout IV! It will have three weapons you’ll need to watch out for: a Guardian Sword++, Guardian Spear++, and an Ancient Battle Axe++. You’ll get all three for defeating the guardian!
