Taomon Overview (In-Game Profile)
A Taoist Digimon that uses all the skills of faith to defeat opponents. Taomon is particularly talented at using curses and talismans. It’s also a master of dark implements, keeping various weapons hidden in its sleeves.
This Digimon doesn’t say much and usually resides in the dark. Taomon can also change talismans into familiars known as shikigami.
It uses its special move, Talisman of Light, to paint a Sanskrit character in midair while chanting before hurling it at the enemy. Any enemy hit by the Talisman of Light is annihilated in a gigantic explosion.

Having the Data attribute, Taomon is weak to Digimon with the Virus attribute, while resisting those with the Vaccine attribute.

Where to Find Taomon
You cannot find Taomon in the Human or Digital Worlds. To add Taomon as a partner in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll need to digivolve a lower-generation Digimon or de-digivolve a higher-generation Digimon into Taomon. Refer to the Taomon Digivolution section below for more information.
Taomon Digivolution
Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.

Digivolution
Digivolution is the process of evolving a Digimon into a stronger form. Each Digimon can evolve along multiple branches depending on its stats, level, and personality. To digivolve a Digimon, you must meet certain requirements.
