by Welcome to NGB and our guide for the Field Research side quest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Here’ll we cover how to start the quest and what all you’ll need to do in order to complete it.
How to Start Field Research
In order to start this quest, you’ll first need to progress with the main story until you reach the “Eywa’s Blessing” main quest. Once you’ve done that, speak with Alexander Tremayne who is wearing a lab coat in the Resistance Headquarters.
Field research Objectives
Locate Alexander’s Survey Site
For the first objective, you’ll be given the following clues to locate Alexander’s Survey Site:
- In Gossamer Lakes
- South of Mentor’s River
- Between Great Oak Field Lab and Falls Field Lab
Travel to Shaded Grove Na’vi Camp in the Gossamer Lakes west of Hometree. You’ll then want to head north of the camp where you’ll find the flamingo orchid growing between the camp and the water.
Gather Samples
Approach the plant but be ready to dodge as it will launch a projectile at you! Afterwards, it will retract itself and you’ll be able to harvest the Spineberries.
After you do this a couple of times, your Na’vi will start to feel weird. Radio Alex for help! He’ll tell you to leave the area so run away from the survey site.
When you get far enough away, you’ll radio Alex again.
Bring the Samples to Alexander
Return to the Resistance HQ and speak with Alexander inside to hand over the samples. Afterwards, the Field Research side quest will complete.
