How to Start The Unsung Hunter
In order to start this quest, you’ll first need to progress with the main story until you reach the “Eywa’s Blessing” main quest. Once you’ve done that, speak with the hunter in the Weaver’s Den at Hometree.
The Unsung Hunter Objectives
Speak with Aleyum Neyan
After speaking with the Hunter, head up the ramp behind the Hunter in Hometree to reach the Commons. When you get there, look for the two Na’Vi arguing; they will be Aleyum and Neyan. Speak with them to learn about a crash site that she wants to check out to the disagreement of Neyan.
Locate the Crash Aleymun Mentioned
For this objective, head southeast from Hometree across the Threaded River to find the crash site at Construction Site Echo. Once there, speak with Aleymun near the spotlight.
Investigate Construction Site Echo
First Clue
Inspect the pair of items listed below.
- RDA corpses
- Broken spear
RDA corpses can be found leaning against the tire of the bulldozer. The broken spear can be found stuck in a crate near the smoking mech. After doing so, link the two together to get the first clue.
Second Clue
- Aircraft debris
- Broken tree
The aircraft debris can be found by the smoldering mech on top of a pile of rocks. The broken tree is directly north of the aircraft debris. After you’ve inspected both items and linked them together, you’ll get your next clue!
Third Clue
- RPG Launcher
- Ikran prints
The Ikran prints can be found near where Aleymun was standing. The RPG launcher can be found under the makeshift tent. Link both together to get your final clue.
After you’ve found all 3 clues, speak with Aleymun to report your findings.
Track Scent of Aircraft Fuel
Before leaving camp, hack the tablet under the makeshift tent with your scanner.
When you’re ready, use your Na’vi senses to locate the scent of the fuel and follow it south to the Cocoon Hills.
Defeat the RDA
Once at the location, take out the remnants of the RDA who can be found waiting around a tree. There will be 3 soldiers total, one of which is in an armored suit.
After you begin the fight, 4 armored reinforcements will show up so take down the initial RDAs before they arrive. We took out the reinforcements quickly by using a Staff Sling with the grenade ammo when they landed!
Once you take them all out, loot the chests at the base of the tree they were guarding! You’ll receive a shotgun from the giant chest!!
Talk to Aleymun
Travel back to Hometree and speak with Aleymun to complete the quest.

- 15% Wildlife damage
