In the Sum of His Parts side mission in Borderlands 4, Claptrap needs your help piecing himself back together. His body parts have been scattered, and it’s up to you to track them down. Along the way, you’ll run into plenty of obstacles, enemies, and Claptrap’s usual banter, making this quest both chaotic and hilarious.

How to Start the Sum of His Parts Quest
To begin the Sum of His Parts side mission in Borderlands 4, interact with the dumpster at Racketrun. Claptrap will then give you the lowdown on his quest.
How to Complete the Sum of His Parts Quest
There’s two kinds of robots in this world: there’s the robots that fulfil the purpose they were built for and stay out of trouble, and then there’s Claptrap. Seems the little guy’s gone to pieces. Someone’s gotta put him together again.
Find Claptrap’s Chassis
To find Claptrap’s chassis, which is being used as a flower pot, head deeper into Racketrun.
Once you locate the chassis, you’ll need to eliminate the weeds from the frame using melee attacks. Be prepared, as Redthrumb will not be pleased with your actions, so deal with him accordingly. Afterward, pick up the chassis and return it to the dumpster. Place it inside the building to the left of the dumpster.
Pick up Eye
Retrieve the eye from the dumpster outside then bring it to the body and place it accordingly.
Go to Old Scrapper’s House
You’ll find the Old Scrapper’s House at Rattlehead Crest. Make your way there, then take out all the enemies surrounding the building. Afterward, knock on the door. You’ll then be able to acquire the antenna, which is, of course, at the very tippy top of the tower to the southeast.
Find Claptrap’s Arms
Next, enter the building all the enemies come pouring out in Rattlehead Crest. Once you’ve dealt with them, loot the arm from the bucket in front of the TV. This will cause Claptrap’s arm to become free. Grab the “Take TV Channel Prodder”.
Find Claptrap’s Wheel
Now it’s time to travel west to find the wheel being used by the Incinerator Badass Psycho. Grab it then eliminate the runner.
Return to Claptrap
With all the parts in hand, return to Claptrap at Racketrun and finish putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. During the process, you’ll need to give him a high five by meleeing him.
Follow Claptrap
Follow Claptrap outside to his secret loot stash. Lootin’ Luke and his gang will appear, so take them out, then speak with Claptrap afterward to get your loot! The mission will then end.
