How to Start the So It Begins… Quest
The So It Begins… main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will automatically begin after completing Civitas Pragensis.
So It Begins… Walkthrough
Battle!
Head to the outer wall and repel the Praguers’ assault with a ranged weapon. When prompted, throw rocks down the hole to fend off the attackers at the gate. Once repelled, go back to shooting. You’ll see ladders approaching. Equip a polearm then push down all five. A cutscene will then trigger.
Visit Musa and Katherine in the infirmary (optional)
You’ll find Musa and Katherine in the northwestern corner of the courtyard. Speak with them!
Go and see Janosh for food (optional)
On the bottom level of the fortress under the stairs you’ll find the kitchen. Speak with Janosh in the back room of the kitchen.
Ask Frenzl about ammunition supplies (optional)
Head through the gate and speak with Captain Frenzl in the smithy. Grab the two old swords on the table next to Frenzl and sharpen them.
Listen to Zizka’s orders
Head up to the outer wall and speak with Zizka.
Recruit your team
You’ll be in charge of recruiting your unit. Speak with the following people:
- Janek of Skalitz and Jaroslav of Skalitz – Outer wall near blacksmith
- Samuel and Kubyenka – In kitchen sitting at a table
- Kozliek – Take the stairs to the right of the combat arena up then head up again to reach Kozliek on the battlement
- Knacker Wolfram – Down the stairs sitting next to a barrel
Order your men to assemble on the outer bailey
Head across the bridge and address your team. Select to reinforce the night watch to make the upcoming fight easier and earn rep with Zizka.
Speak with Capon (optional)
Before you lie down after finishing your rounds, speak with Hans outside of your room. The Dry Devil will wake up and say it’s your turn.
Check on the guards
Head to each of the below locations to check on the guards:
Eastern Wall
Head up the stairs to the right of the combat arena and speak with Janosh to see how things are going.
Outer Bailey’s Gate
Head to the southeast side after crossing the bridge and speak with the Suchdol defender.
Western Palisade
Head on the northwestern side of the bailey and speak with the Soldier. After you speak with him, the guy will attack you, triggering a raid. Fend off the attackers and knock down the two ladders.
Assemble with the others and listen to the orders
Head to the outer bailey and listen to Zizka bark orders.
Report to Zizka
After listening to his speech, speak with Zizka. The So It Begins… quest will end and the Besieged quest will begin.
