Digimon Story Time Stranger Palmon Field Guide

Palmon Overview (In-Game Profile)
A Vegetation Digimon with a tropical flower growing on its head. Though it Digivolved from Tanemon in a reptilian fashion, it’s a rare type of Digimon classified as a Vegetation Digimon based on its appearance and characteristics.
During the day, Palmon opens its flower and leaf-like appendages to enable photosynthesis. Its root-like feet are usually buried in the ground absorbing nutrients, but it can also use them to walk.
The flower on Palmon’s head gives off a sweet scent when it’s happy or enjoying itself and a foul stench when it’s angry or feels threatened. The latter is so bad it can send ever larger Digimon running. Palmon’s special move is Poison Ivy, with which it entangles its foe in highly poisonous vines. Anything hit by this attack is paralyzed.

Palmon Digivolution

Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
Palmon can de-digivolve into the following forms:
