How to Start the Welcome to the Family Quest
To begin the Welcome to the Family quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, you’ll first need to complete the A Knife in the Dark quest. Upon doing so, the Welcome to the Family quest will start automatically.
Welcome to the Family Walkthrough
Speak with Vicente Valtieri
Now that you’ve officially joined the Dark Brotherhood, it’s time to get to work. You’ll want to speak with Vicente to accept your first mission. He can be found in the back of the sanctuary, past Ocheeva’s Quarters. If he’s not there, then check around the sanctuary as he can wander depending on the time of day.
Ask him about the contract, then accept it when prompted. This will then complete the Welcome to the Family quest and begin the A Watery Grave quest. Speak with him again and exhaust his dialogue options to gain some more details about what you’ll be doing. It’s time to start doing the Night Mother proud! Hail Sithis!
