In Borderlands 4, the Null and Void faction mission kicks off after Idolator Sol’s downfall. The Outbounders have seized an abandoned Order ship and are preparing it for launch. They’ll happily accept your assistance in getting it spaceworthy—though it quickly becomes clear that Rush’s eagerness to see you again might be the true reason you’ve been called in.

How to Start the Null and Void Quest
To begin the Null and Void faction mission in Borderlands 4, speak with Rush south of The Launchpad in The Howl during the Shadow of the Mountain main quest.
How to Complete the Null and Void Quest
Since Idolator Sol’s death, the Outbounders have claimed an Order ship as their own. Launch preparations are underway and they would gladly welcome your help, although really it’s just another reason for Rush to see you again.
Check Conway’s last location
After accepting the mission, travel east to the Wreck of the Nostalgia in the Hungering Plain. Once there, pick up Conway’s ECHO Log in a crate next to a mattress.
Go to next scavenging location
Next, travel northeast to just east of The Prospects Ripper Drill Site. When you arrive, clear out the Rippers then approach the telescope on the edge of the cliff. Grab Conway’s ECHO log from next to the chair.
Go to next crash site
When you are ready, travel northwest of Tetanus Quad in Idolator’s Noose and use the intercom in front of the sealed door.
Find hangry ripper’s order
To find the food order, travel south of Rattlehead Crest. Once you arrive at the objective, you’ll find the food scattered around a crashed vehicle. Retrieve all ten items then deliver the order. Unfortunately, they’re not good tippers so wipe them out!
Talk to Conway
After you’ve cleared the camp, speak with Conway in the cage. As you’re speaking with her the cage will start to move so quickly follow it to the void.
Find crane controls
Make your way to the top of the crane to find the controls. Also, make sure to take out Erector Ed, who will spawn in.
Energize engines
First, turn the wheel on the western side of the area to energize the starboard engine. You’ll then need to energize the port engine by turning the wheel on the northeastern side of the area.
Initiate warp jump
After energizing the engines, climb to the top of the tallest structure and pull the lever to initiate warp jump.
Reach Conway
Next, return to Conway and free her by shooting the top of the cage.
Kill Chugs
When Chugs spawns, take him out then meet up with the Outbounders. The faction mission will then end.
