How to Start the Nature vs. Nurture Quest
To begin the Nature vs. Nurture side quest in Avowed, speak with Masco Laima and Dolina northeast of the Coastal Farms in Maxim’s Claim.
Nature vs. Nurture Walkthrough
Xaurips are destroying animancy equipment that is critical to the survival of Emerald Stair’s farms.
Investigate the Xaurip Camp
Travel to the Xaurip Camp northwest of the Moldering Godless Ruins in the Grim Wetlands. Once there, head to the north side of the camp, following the path up the cliff to the giant statue.
Enter the hut just behind the statue.
Follow the main path to reach the bigger area of the fortress and speak with Amadilo in the back.
When speaking with him, you’ll have two options. You can agree that what he is doing is right or you can attack him to make him stop.
You’re just trying to protect the land. I support that.
If you go with this option, report to the farmers that the Xaurips are no longer a threat then return to Amadio. He’ll give you the Wolf Boots, a unique item.
[Attack] I can’t let you send xaurips out to attack innocent farmers.
If you choose to attack, you’ll have to defeat Amadio and the Xaurips. Once they’ve been taken out, loot his Wolf Boots (a unique item) then report back to the farmers. They’ll give you the Ring of Pain Amplification as a reward.
