Welcome to NGB and our Kingdom Come Deliverance II walkthrough for the Mice quest! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start the Mice Quest
You’ll automatically begin the Mice side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance II if you side with Innkeeper Prochek during the Frogs side quest. Alternatively, you can speak with him first to start the quest that way.
If you complete the Frogs quest, then come speak with Prochek; he’ll be mad about what you did. You can then offer to pull a prank on the other side to start this one.
Mice Walkthrough
Ask Radovan the blacksmith for help (optional)
Head south of the tavern to the forge and speak with Radovan about something that calms animals down. If you pass a persuasion check, he’ll just give it to you. Otherwise, say you’ll use it against the Zhelejovites. You’ll still have to pay for it, but it will be at a cheaper price.
Get something to calm the bull (3)
In order to make the 3 potions, you’ll need to gather some poppy, thistle and herb paris. Once you’ve acquired the ingredients, head to an alchemy table and craft the lullaby recipe.
Steps to craft lullaby potion:
- Add oil to the pot
- Add poppy and boil for 1 turn
- Pull cauldron up
- Add thistle and boil for 1 turn
- Pull cauldron up
- Grind the herb paris and add it to the cauldron
- Pour
Get some paint
Head over to Troskowitz and speak with Tailor Bartoshek to inquire about some paint. Either you’ll have to pay 60 groschen or pass the persuasion check then tell him that you want to paint a bull.
If you pass the persuasion, the tailor will recognize that you’re talking about the two groups that keep pranking each other. He’ll then go off on a tangent about making dyes. Keep listening every time you’re prompted to get it for free!
Pour the sleeping potion into the bull’s trough
Travel to Zhelejov during the day then enter the bull’s barn and add the three sleeping potions into the trough without being seen.
Paint on Olbram’s bull
Wait until night (21) for the bull to fall asleep then sneak into the barn and paint on the bull. You’ll have several options!
- Paint a saddle don’t the bull
- Paint Olbram covered with shit
- Paint Sigismund and a few knobs
Tell Prochek how things went
Return to Innkeeper Prochek at Tachov to report back which will complete the quest. If you haven’t completed the Frogs quest yet, then don’t accept his next quest, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice, until you do.
