Character Overview
Leon Strohl, an intelligent young man of the Clemar tribe, encounters the protagonist at the State Army’s recruitment center. With a strong sense of justice, he comes from a noble family and is willing to enlist in the army alongside commoners. With Strohl, you’ll gain the Warrior Archetype! Rank Strohl’s bond up to gain new abilities for the Warrior Archetype.

- Rank 1
- Warrior Archetype – The party can now study the Warrior.
- Rank 2
- Warrior Enlightenment – Reduces the MAG cost of studying the Warrior Lineage.
- Undaunted Spirit – When Strohl attacks a human-type monster, critical rate increases.
- Rank 3
- Warrior Archetype: Adept – The party can now study the Swordmaster.
- Rank 4
- Scion’s Skill – Increases skill inheritance slots for the Warrior Lineage to 2.
- Rank 5
- Warrior Veneration – Significantly reduces the MAG cost of studying the Warrior Lineage.
- Battle Aura – While in reserve, the amount of experience Strohl gains increases.
- Rank 6
- Scion’s Meri – Increases skill inheritance slots for the Warrior Lineage to 3.
- Battle Hypnosis – While in reserve, Strohl will gain experience at the normal rate.
- Rank 7
- Warrior Archetype: Elite – The party can now study the Samurai.
- Rank 8
- Scion’s Essence – Increases skill inheritance slots for the Warrior Lineage to 4.
- Slayer of Humans – When Strohl attacks a human-type monster, critical rate greatly increases.
- Gran Fantasy – Strohl is ready to acquire a new Heroic Embodiment.
Strohl Bond Ranks
Rank 1
Strohl’s Rank 1 bond will be unlocked automatically during the main story on 06/06. Once you’ve unlocked Rank 1, you can study the Warrior Archetype at Akademeia.
Rank 2
To increase Strohl’s bond to Rank 2, you’ll first need to complete the Necromancer Takedown and Thwart Zorba’s Plan quests. After finishing those quests, you can speak with Strohl on Sunlumeo Street in front of Nau Filono Tavern during the day, choosing the “Sure, why not.” option to spend the afternoon with Strohl. This will trigger a cutscene with a series of questions. Listed below is what you’ll be asked, along with the answer that will reward you with the most MAG.
- Oh, Young Master Leon. My goodness, look how you’ve grown…

- You mean to say my parents instructed you to flee here?
- Let’s find a way to help.
- All the more reason I should speak with him myself if that’s how he sees you.
- Let’s go talk to him.

Rank 3
After some time passes from reaching Rank 2, Gallica will inform you that Strohl wishes to speak with you. Travel to his usual spot on Sunlumeo Street in front of Nau Filono Tavern to hear him out. When prompted, select “I’ll go with you.” This will trigger an event where the two set out searching for Lord Hydran. Below are the questions that will come up during the confrontation and the best answers to reward you with the maximum amount of MAG.

Rank 4
To reach Rank 4 with Strohl, you’ll need to progress in the game until you reach Martira by progressing the main story. There, speak with Strohl, who’ll be lost in thought. The next time you travel somewhere on the Gauntlet Runner, Gallica will inform you that he wants to talk. Speak with him on the Deck, and then agree to hear him out. This will begin a cutscene where the two talk about his inheritance. As always, below are the best choices for each question to receive the most MAG afterward.

Rank 5
During Strohl’s Rank 5 event, we’ll finally travel to his village, where he’ll find a letter hidden in the rubble.

Rank 6
You’ll reach a bone level of Rank 6 with Strohl after you have completed the A Noble’s Legacy quest. Upon reaching Rank 6, Strohl will learn the Scion’s Merit and Battle Hypnosis abilities. Scion’s Merit increases the Warrior Linage’s skill inheritance slots to three, while Battle Hypnosis will allow Strohl to receive EXP at the normal rate while in reserve.
Rank 7
Following Rank 6, you’ll need to wait a bit before Strohl is ready to talk again. While speaking with him, he’ll tell you that he’s ready to negotiate at the Grand Cathedral.

A couple of days after the Rank 7 bonding event, Strohl will think about his parents and want to hang out with a friend. They will then travel back to his old village to have a heart-to-heart.
