How to Start the Memory of the Deep Quest
To begin the Memory of the Deep side quest in Avowed, speak with Josep at Coastal Farms near the Fior mes Iverno Docks.
Memory of the Deep Walkthrough
Josep, Elia’s rival in the revenant farming business, said that his revenants are wandering away from the farms and are drawn to a nearby lake. He’s convinced something strange is afoot and asked you to investigate.
Look for the Revenants near Lake Lacuna
Travel to Lake Lacunain in The Wildwoods, which is southwest of the Riverbend Party Camp.
Speak to the Stranger by the Lake (Optional)
When you arrive, you’ll find the Giftbearer praying on a dock on the south side of the lake.
Retrieve the Meteorite from the Lake
To retrieve the meteorite, hop in the lake and swim to the middle, where you’ll find a hole that you can dive in. At the bottom of this hole, you will find the Mysterious Meteorite!
Once you retrieve the Mysterious Meteorite, you’ll be attacked by revenants as soon as you resurface. Take them out and travel to Fior mes Iverno Docks.
Deliver the Rock
With your task complete, you will need to decide who to give the rock to: Josep or the Giftbearer.
Return to Josep
If you choose to deliver the rock to Josep, who can be found on the eastern side of the Fior mes Iverno Docks, you’ll receive the Chanter’s Panpipes, a unique amulet.
Return to the Giftbearer
If you deliver the rock to The Giftbearer, who can be found on the southwestern side of the Fior mes Iverno Docks, you’ll receive 550 gold.
