How to Start the Master of Fame: Ch. 3 Auguste Prince of Thieves Quest
The Master of Fame: Ch. 3 Auguste Prince of Thieves quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Master of Fame: Ch. 2 – Fit for a Tragedy quest.
Master of Fame: Ch. 3 Auguste Prince of Thieves Walkthrough
In the name of writing a tragedy, Auguste has tortured poor Francesca and her child. And so Schwartz sets out for the amphitheatre to snuff out the playwright’s fame… and his life.
Gather information about Auguste
Speak with the person with a green bubble above their head just south of the Amphitheatre: Entrance to officially begin this quest. The recommended level is 16!
Make for the amphitheatre
After listening to the theatergoers, head north and enter the amphitheatre. Once inside, head up the left set of stairs to trigger a cutscene with Master Dorteau.
When the cutscene ends, agree to go with Schwartz!
Search for Auguste
To begin your search, enter the Amphitheatre: Rehearsal Room on the western side and head to the central stage. Upon your arrival, you’ll converse with Schwartz. After your conversation, enter the nearby door and follow the path to reach the Dressing Room. From there, make your way into Auguste’s room at the end to find the theater manager dead.
Once you gain control, head through the door next to his room and follow the path to reach the Amphitheatre: Backstage. Head through this area to arrive in the Amphitheater. You’ll then need to use this path to reach Auguste.
Boss Fight: Auguste the Playwright
In this boss fight, you’ll be facing Auguste the Playwright. Below are the boss’s vulnerabilities and the skills he uses.

Boss Fight: Auguste the Prince of Thieves
In this boss fight, you’ll be facing Auguste the Prince of Thieves. Below are the boss’s vulnerabilities and the skills he uses.
If you have someone with the Steal ability, you can steal Blade of Vengence Mastery from Auguste the Prince of Thieves.

Once the fight ends, another cutscene will trigger, leading to the completion of the quest! You’ll get Ring of Aeber, Prince of Thieves and will learn the ultimate technique “Aeber’s Artifice”.
