How to Start the Master of All: Ch. 8 Pardis the Scholarking Quest
The Master of All: Ch. 8 Pardis the Scholarking quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Master of All: Ch. 7 Princess Alaune quest. The recommended level for this quest is 32.
Master of All: Ch. 8 Pardis the Scholarking Walkthrough
Together with Prince Richard, you and Princess Alaune defeated the jester Gonska, who had taken control of the Kingdom of Riven. But as the brave princess faces the decisive battle, she is pierced by a single arrow…
Speak to the apothecary
First, travel to the southwestern corner of the Cragspear: Slums and speak with the person standing outside the house. This will officially begin the quest.
Head to Castle Edoras
When you gain control, head through the Path to Castle Edoras to reach (you wouldn’t believe it…) Castle Edoras!! Once you arrive, you’ll engage in a boss fight.
Boss Fight: General Krauser
For this fight, you will face General Krauser and two of the General’s Subordinates.

Boss Tips
- After eliminating both the subordinates, he’ll get a boost to Physical Attack, Physical Defense, and Speed.
Confront King Pardis III
Before entering the castle, speak with Lebrandt to learn that the king is supported by three generals. He presents you with a choice: hunt down and defeat the generals one by one, or face all three alongside the king in a single battle.
The three generals are actually the Elite Enemies in each area!
Edoras Defender of Power
The Edoras Defender of Power can be found just north of the save point in the Castle Edoras area on the first floor.
Edoras Defender of Fame
The Edoras Defender of Fame can be found in the Castle Edoras: Upper Floor area. Head through the north central door to find this Elite Enemy.
Edoras Defender of Wealth
The Edoras Defender of Wealth can be found in a treasure room on the west side of the Castle Edoras: Throne Room.
Boss Fight: King Pardis III
Make sure you have plenty of healing items before you enter the main part of the throne room as you will face three waves of boss fights, back-to-back. For this fight, you will face King Pardis III!

For the second wave of this fight, you will face Pardis the Scholarking.

Boss Tips
- Every time you break his shield, he’ll gain more shield and his vulnerabilities will change!
- During the fight he will apply a buff that repels elemental attacks or physical attacks.
Boss Fight: Master of All
For the third phase, you will fight the Master of All. At the start of this fight, you will receive a full heal for all your party members!

| Ultimate Barrier of the Absolute | Applies the intercept non-weak point, which nullifies and counters a non-weak point damage with a skill. It will not go away until you break the boss. |
| Crushing Death | Hits the front row and has the ability to inflict Dread |
| Bright Evil Eye | Buffs boss’s physical and elemental attack plus physical and elemental defense. It also puts Speed down and Crit down on front row. |
| Divine Blow | Single-target attack that leaves the target with 1 HP |
Boss Tips
- Every time you break his shield, his vulnerabilities will change!
- When the boss’s health is in the red, Alaune will heal the party and the boss’s shields and weaknesses will reset.
After the long battle, the war will be won and the quest will end.
