Locomon Overview (In-Game Profile)
Resembling a steam-powered locomotive, this Machine Digimon lives to stay in motion. Locomon’s purpose is to carry data across the Digital World’s Net.
In the Digital World, where a large quantity of data must be moved around, transporting said data as quickly as possible is the ultimate reason that Vehicle-species Digimon like Locomon exist. There are times, though, when the older-model Locomon has run off the rails in its pursuit of ever-greater speeds.
And although its movement is confined to the tracks, there are occasions when it generates rifts in space-time by continuously running in loops. Locomon can also use its special move, Wheel Grinder, to spin and then throw its spiked wheels.

Where to Find Locomon
Locomon cannot be found while exploring the Human or Digital World. To add Locomon as a partner in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll need to digivolve a lower-generation Digimon or de-digivolve a higher-generation Digimon into Locomon. Refer to the Locomon Digivolution section below for more information.
Locomon Digivolution
Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.

Digivolution
Digivolution is the process of evolving a Digimon into a stronger form. Each Digimon can evolve along multiple branches depending on its stats, level, and personality. To digivolve a Digimon, you must meet certain requirements.
