To unlock the Veteran Explorer trophy in Lies of P, you’ll need to collect all cryptic vessels available throughout the game. These cryptic vessels are scattered across multiple chapters and can be easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention. This guide provides a complete list of all cryptic vessels, including where and how to find them, so you can earn the trophy without missing a step.

Chapter IV – St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel
Crafted Cryptic Vessel
From the St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel Stargazer, work your way to the very top of the tower where you’ll find a brazer. Push it off the ledge, causing it to crash down to the bottom lever, burning away the goop. Return to the bottom level to find a new set of stairs.
Take them down and follow the doorway to reach a chest containing this cryptic vessel.
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, deliver it to Venigni to receive your orders.
Travel to Krat City Hall and find the puppet hanging from the bridge. Shoot it then retrieve the Letter with the Refuge’s Address that drops.
The address is Elysion Boulevard 221b.
Next, travel to the Inside the House on Elysion Boulevard Stargazer then head through the doorway onto the balcony and take a right. Cross the plank then the door will be on your right.
Head inside and loot the safe to find Owl Doctor’s Hunting Apparel and Quatz.
Chapter VI – Estella Opera House Entrance
Jeweled Cryptic Vessel
From the Estella Opera House Entrance Stargazer, head to the room with the swinging flaming chandelier and jump down into the floor pit. Follow the path until you reach the white hallway. Go left and head up a flight of stairs then take another left and head up another flight of stairs. At the top, take a right and go down the hallway. Enter the doorway at the very end then take the ladder next to the doorway up to find a chest that contains this cryptic vessel.
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, deliver it to Venigni to receive your orders.
Next, travel to Cerasani Alley Stargazer. Turn around and cross the bridge. When you pass the broken stagecoach, take a right and go down the stairs.
At the bottom of the flight, take a left and head through the archway.
Go right then follow the path to reach the fence with the ocean behind it.
Take a right and follow the path to the end to reach an area overlooking the Krat Hotel.
Approach the fence post and use the “Check Ground” gesture to receive the following items:
- The Atoned’s Hunting Apparel
- Legion Caliber
Chapter IX – Barren Swamp Bridge
Old Cryptic Vessel
Speak with Rookie Explorer Hugo near the Barren Swap Bridge Stargazer to get this cryptic vessel!
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, speak with Venigni in Hotel Krat to get your orders.
Next, travel to the Path of the Pilgrim Stargazer. Enter the building next to the Stargazer and use the lift.
At the bottom, exit the building and follow the path right under the wooden bridge and go up the hill.
Speak with the man standing next to a barrel to receive the Robbers’ Shack Key. Use this to open the front door of the nearby shack. As you approach the chest, you’ll fall into a trap. Eliminate the enemies, then work your way back up to that chest. Inside, you’ll find the following items:
- Life Amulet +1
- Legion Caliber
Rusty Cryptic Vessel
You can purchase the Rusty Cryptic Vessel at Hotel Krat from Polendina for 1,000.
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, speak with Venigni in Hotel Krat to get your orders.
Next, travel to Barren Swamp Bridge Stargazer and speak with Rookie Explorer Hugo.
Head inside the new area and watch out for all the booby traps! Head to the very end of this area to find a safe.
Open it to get the following items:
- Black Cat’s Hunting Apparel
- Quartz
Chapter X – Relic of Trismegistus Combat Field
Alidoro’s Cryptic Vessel
You must choose to kill Alidoro, then defeat him to receive this cryptic vessel.
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, speak with Venigni in Hotel Krat. Next, speak with Eugenie in Hotel Krat twice and choose the “He was Eugenie’s older brother” option when prompted. She’ll then give you the Far East Princess record.
Chapter XI – Arche Abbey Broken Rift
Mechanical Cryptic Vessel
This cryptic vessel can be found in a chest in the underground area near a jester enemy.
Now that you have the cryptic vessel, speak with Venigni in Hotel Krat to get your orders.
When speaking with the merchant, you must have the Frozen Feast weapon equipped. To get the Frozen Feast, you must trade one Reborn Champion’s ergo to Rookie Explorer Hugo or Alidoro at Hotel Krat.
Next, travel to the Abandoned Apartment Stargazer and head up the stairs and pass the merchant. Follow the path, crossing over a metal bridge, then hug the left side of the path (gate shortcut will be on your right… don’t take it).
Cross the bridge to your left then take a right. Follow the path to find a Wandering Merchant in a plaza.
Speak to him with the Frozen Feast weapon equipped. He’ll then give you the following items:
- Red Fox’s Apparel
- Quartz
