How to Start Lair of the Dragon King
To begin the Lair of the Dragon King quest, speak with Taash at the Lighthouse after completing the Blood of Arlathan main quest and speaking with Solas.
Lair of the Dragon King Walkthrough
For this quest, use the map and travel to Rivain.

After your conversation, head into the Winding Shoreline and use the prompt to interact with the boat. Afterwards, head deeper into the area to stumble across some Antaam. Take them out then interact with the note on the stairs. Head inside the door and have Taash open the path forward.
Head on through then take out the enemies and head northeast. Speak with Taash just before the building then head on through to Warden Castle.
Yet again, defeat the enemies there speak with Taash again. Have her blow through the path blocking the bridge then continue to Ravine Descent.
After taking out the enemies, Taash will inspect the corpse. Have her blow through yet another barrier to reach Tide Flats. Make your way to the objective where you’ll find Isabela. Speak with her.
It’s finally time to enter the Dragon King’s lair! Once inside, work your way up to the top of the castle. You’ll then find a path leading to the Lava Caves. Continue working your way through this area to find Cutter. Cut Cutter down then have Taash open the path forward by melting the obtacle. Now that the way has been cleared, continue forward until a cutscene triggers.

After the cutscene, follow the path around to find Kaltenzahn, an ice dragon. Defeat this dragon then witness the cutscene.

After your conversation, the quest will end.
