Kabuterimon Overview (In-Game Profile)

Even for a newly-discovered Digimon, Kabuterimon is highly unusual. Though it’s unclear how it came to be an Insectoid type, it’s understood to have the power of an ant and the defense system of a beetle.

As you would expect from an insect, it only thinks about survival and has no other intelligence whatsoever. Hostile toward Virus Digiom, Kabuterimon attacks on sight without mercy.

Its head is made of metal, granting it impregnable defense. Its special move is Electro Shocker.

Kabuterimon Digivolution

Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.

Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.

De-Digivolution

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
  • Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.

Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.

Kabuterimon can de-digivolve into the following forms:
