Hylian Homeowner Quest Guide
How to Start the Hylian Homeowner
To begin the Hylian Homeowner quest, head to Hateno Village in the East Necluda region. On the southern edge of the village, near a rundown house, you’ll find Bolson, the president of Bolson Construction, along with his crew.

Speak with him to learn that the house is being demolished. If you express interest in buying it, Bolson offers to sell it to you for a discounted price of 3,000 Rupees (a steep price early in the game) and requests 30 bundles of wood to sweeten the deal.

Gathering the Required Materials
To complete the purchase, you’ll need:
- 3,000 Rupees
- 30 Bundles of Wood
Tips for Earning Rupees
Depending on where you are in the game, you may or may not have the required 3,000 Rupees to purchase the house. If you don’t, the following tips are some ways you can earn the needed capital:
- Sell gemstones found in ore deposits (Amber, Opal, Topaz, etc.)
- Hunt and cook high-value meals, then sell them
- Sell monster parts or cooked elixirs
Where to Farm Wood
As part of the excellent deal that Hudson gave Link on the house, you’ll also need to procure 30 bundles of wood. You can easily find these in the woods just outside of Hateno. To save on weapon durability, you can use your bombs to knock down the trees.

Purchase the House
Once you’ve gathered everything, return to Bolson and hand over the goods to finalize the deal. He’ll then mention that he provides services to spruce up the house!

Upgrading Your House
With the house officially yours, Bolson will offer to customize and furnish it. Each upgrade costs 100 Rupees, and you can purchase as many or as few as you like.

Upgrade Options
Listed below, you’ll find all of the upgrade options you can purchase for Link’s house. These upgrades enable you to personalize Link’s home and transform it into a storage and display hub for important items, ideal for showcasing unique or sentimental weapons.
