Growlmon Overview (In-Game Profile)

A Dark Dragon Digimon known as the “Deep Crimson Dragon”. Having Digivolved into a wilder, more ferocious creature, the childishness from its time as Guilmon is now done. Although it’s a Virus Digimon, Growlmon may become loyal depending on how its Tamer raises it, perhaps even fighting for justice.

Its roar is mighty enough to shake the ground, and Growlmon uses it as an aggressive display to intimidate the enemy before battle. It has the special move Exhaust Flame, which unleashes a powerful blast of fire with an explosive roar.

Growlmon Digivolution

Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.

Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.

De-Digivolution

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:

  • Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
  • Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.

Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
