Gankoomon Overview (In-Game Profile)
A Holy Knight Digimon and successor to the position of one of the Royal Knights. Together with Huckmon, who it hopes to make its successor, Gankoomon journeys all over the Digital World, quelling chaos and disturbances before they can get out of hand.
Since it intends to make Huckmon succeed it as a Royal Knight, Gankoomon puts Huckmon through a series of severe trials. Gankoomon is stubborn, which leads it to be harsh on Huckmon, although this is in fact a reflection of its kindness, since it wants to make Huckmon the equal of any other Royal Knight.
Hinukamuy is the projection from its body that, while it doesn’t speak, helps Gankoomon without question. Gankoomon’s special move is Quake! Blast! Fire! Father! This attack involves Hinukamuy delivering divine punishment in response to a shout from Gankoomon. It also uses Table Flip, with which it flips over part of the ground as if it were a table made of Chrondigizoid.

Having the Data attribute, Gankoomon is weak to Digimon with the Virus attribute, while resisting those with the Vaccine attribute.

Where to Find Gankoomon
Gankoomon cannot be found while exploring the Human or Digital worlds. To add Gankoomon as a partner in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll need to digivolve a lower-generation Digimon or de-digivolve a higher-generation Digimon into Gankoomon. Refer to the Gankoomon Digivolution section below for more information.
Gankoomon Digivolution
Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.
Gankoomon can de-digivolve into the following forms:
Digivolution
Digivolution is the process of evolving a Digimon into a stronger form. Each Digimon can evolve along multiple branches depending on its stats, level, and personality. To digivolve a Digimon, you must meet certain requirements.
Gankoomon cannot digivolve into any forms.
