How to Start the Forbidden Secrets of the Undisputed Claim Side Quest
To begin the Forbidden Secrets of the Undisputed Claim side quest in The Outer Worlds 2, travel to the ACS Undisputed Claim (following the Fiends in High Places main mission), then travel to the vendor section of the Value-Added Esplandade area. When the Suspicious Character approaches you, speak with her.
Following the conversation, you’ll need to hop on the tram and travel to the Back Deck Steerage area. Once there, head for the northern section. There you’ll be greeted by Middle Manager Twombly. He’ll present the commander with an exciting and mutually advantageous business opportunity.
Forbidden Secrets of the Undisputed Claim Walkthrough
Get the Secret Drink Recipe
To get the secret drink recipe, you’ll need to start by traveling to The Value-Added Esplanade and speak with the bartender, Intoxicant Facilitator Showalter, at The Bottom Runger about the proprietor. Next, head through the door diagonally to the southeast of the bar. Inside, you’ll find an active crime scene.
Speak with Corporate Investigator Yoshida, who is investigating the floor near the body. After he clears you, return to Intoxicant Facilitator Showalter, who will give you the name, Vallow Andrews.
To track down this lead, head down the stairs across from the bar and enter The Best Choice. Take the elevator up. When you emerge, look on the left to spot a vent.
Head inside then follow the path, dropping down into a bathroom. Exit the bathroom and head through the door straight ahead to find Vallow Andrews.
Inside, you’ll catch her red-handed! If you have Speech 9, you can convince her to give you the recipe. If not, you will need to pickpocket her or pay 5,000 bits to get the recipe.
Learn the Mysterious Individual’s Secrets
Next, approach Amos near the entrance to The Best Choice. When speaking with him, you’ll get the Auntie’s Old Acquaintance Trophy! If you watched The Secret Level, this character will be a familiar face!
After convincing your new friend to have a drink, make your way to The Bottom Runger and speak with him at the bar. If you have Speech 9, you can convince him to skip the small talk. Make sure to exhaust all his dialog options to learn as much as you can!
Return to Middle Manager Twombly
After gathering all the necessary information, return to Middle Manager Twombly in the Back Deck Steerage. As a reward for completing his tasks, you’ll receive bits. They’ll then tell you of the third task.
Interrogate the Man in the Moon Man Mask
Next, travel to Market Compliance on the southeastern side of The Value-Added Esplanade. Once there, enter the elevator marked “A780-20” on the wall.
Once in the elevator, select “The Brig by… Corporate Compliance!” floor. When you exit the elevator, speak with The Man in the Moon Man Mask behind the bars, exhausting all his dialogue options.
After hearing his story, you’ll need to collect the audio cartridge from the evidence room. To get into the room, speak with Auxiliary Dabbler Klong behind the counter across from the cell. You can either pay her 500 bits to gain entry or use Speech 9 or the Negotiator perk to persuade her to open it. Once inside, retrieve the Confiscated Audio Cartridge from the table.
Now that you have the audio cartridge, travel to Client Intake. When you arrive, enter the small office next to the room with Client Intake Specialist Hoogerhyde. Examine the machine in the corner and insert the audio cartridge.
Once inserted, return to The Man in the Moon Man Mask and exhaust his dialogue options.
Return to Middle Manager Twombly
With your task complete, return to Middle Manager Twombly in the Back Deck Steerage. Unfortunately, after learning the secret, the conversation will quickly turn south. If you have Speech 9, you can avoid the fight; otherwise, take out everyone in the room!
Afterwards, the quest will complete!
