For Old Ties Subquest Guide: Beyond the Dawn

How to Start the For Old Ties Subquest

To start the For Old Ties subquest, you’ll need to progress the main story until you reach the Land of the Beginning main quest. If that doesn’t trigger this quest, then you’ll also need to complete the Path of the Potter subquest and possibly the A Dahnan Concert and Kindling the Flames of Change reconstruction subquests. Once the conditions have been met, travel to Pelegion Level 2 in Ganath Haros and head to the eastern side of the area.

Meet Avakhir

Approach the eastern side of Pelegion Level 2 to trigger a cutscene.

Go View the Statue in Saxleoh Temple

To get to the temple, go up to Pelegion Level 3. Then, enter the temple through the Saxleoh Temple Front entrance. Once inside, you’ll experience a brief event where you’ll find out that Fahira may have been kidnapped by Dahnans.

Talk to Ganye

Head back to Pelegion Level 3 and talk to Ganye. He will need some time to gather information.

Gather Information While You Wait

While Ganye is doing his thing, go to level 2 and talk to the Renan woman by the southern elevator. After that, take the elevator to level 1 and speak with the Dahnan directly ahead on the right. Finally, talk to another Dahnan woman in front of the Inn on level 1.

Return to Ganye

Return to Ganye on the third level and talk to him to find out what he has learned.

Investigate Shinefall Woods

Once you know where to go, head to the Shinefall Woods in Ganath Haros through the level 1 exit. Walk across the bridge near the campfire to locate Avakhir. Spend some CP to heal him also activating a cutscene.

Rescue Fahira

Follow the kidnappers to the southern campfire in Shinefall Woods. Approach the mausoleum to start another cutscene.

Report Back to Ganye

Head back to Ganye on level 3 to inform him about Fahira’s rescue. Doing so will finish the subquest.
