How to Start the Father of the Glide Quest
To begin the Father of the Glide side mission in Borderlands 4, speak with Claptrap in Stoneblood Forest, northwest of the Snowy Wells safehouse in the Terminus Range region. He needs some new students for his aeronautics academy and could use a capable minion like yourself to lend a hand.
How to Complete the Father of the Glide Quest
Complete the challenge
Just like his quest before, you’ll need to jump, grapple, and climb to the highest point. When you arrive, glide to the Claptrap hologram. Afterwards, complete the first challenge by doing whatever it takes to reach the green holograms!
When victory is yours, you’ll move on to the subsequent trial. Challenge 2 will see your Vault Hunter navigate the course using various slides and air streams to reach the goal at the end. In some instances, you’ll need to time your jump on the slide to hit the airstream just right to reach the next platform.
Once you’ve completed Challenge 2, you’ll move on to the final one. This one mainly uses airstreams that will launch you into the air, allowing you to glide to the next platform.
There are two sections to watch. First, a wall will rise to block your path. Just make sure to time your jump, and you should clear it with no problems. The second one will task you with reaching the second-to-last platform by using three airstreams. A friendly hint is that when you hit the airstream, your boost gauge will refill.
From the second-to-the-last platform, you’ll need to do one last long glide to the final one. You can reach it by either cutting and restarting your boost to extend the gauge, or get as close as you can and then use the grapple point on it to reach the top.
When you arrive at the final platform, your Vault Hunter will complete Claptrap’s Aeronautics Academy course, which will finish off the quest!
