Ancient Sanctuary Collectibles & Noteworthy Tasks
Ancient Sanctuary – Entrance
PETANK
You’ll encounter a sphere enemy called a Petank just past the rest point. As you try to attack it, the creature will run away. Follow it back to its nest to get a clear shot at it. You’ll only have so many turns before it runs away, and it regenerates shields every time its turn comes up. Make sure to deal Ice damage to it as that is its weakness. You’ll receive 5 Polished Chroma Catalysts, 1 Recoat, and 5 Colour of Lumina for defeating the Petank.
Pictos – Energising Jump
This Pictos is to the left when facing the Petank’s nest, in a group of broken crates.
Pictos – Burning mark
You’ll see a stream along the main path just past the area where you first encountered the Petank. Instead of going right, keep following the stream to the end. Across the gap, you’ll see the Pictos on a ledge. Use the nearby climbing points to reach it.
The Boy
This boy can be found along the main path just past the above Pictos. Speak with him to learn a little bit of lore.
Ancient Sanctuary – Sanctuary Maze
965 Chroma
From the rest point, follow the main path heading towards the village. When you reach the part where the path splits to the left and right (a giant bell will be off in the distance in front of you), take the right. You’ll then want to take the next right you come across. You should see a small area in the rock that you can crouch through. Do so and take a right when you emerge from the other side. Look to the right to see a small area with the item.
Pictos – Energising Start II
From the above Chroma, exit the side area and take a right towards the enemy walking around in circles. Past that enemy, you can climb up a rock wall across from a cave. Once at the top, follow the path to find the pictos.
Colour of Lumina
Backtrack to the ledge, drop down, and enter the adjacent cave. Hug the right wall to reach a rope you’ll want to climb. Follow the path there to the end to find the item.
Pictos – Attack Lifesteal
Return to the cave to find the small side room just after the rope to the right. Defeat the enemy there, then pick up the pictos.
Revive Tint Shard
Exit the cave and backtrack to the rock you crouched under to reach this area. Instead of going back through it (on the left), go straight to an area with an old wooden windmill. Enter the building on the left of the windmill to find the shard.
Mime
The mime is just past the windmill. Defeating it will earn you the Baguette costume for Lune.
Colour of Lumina
There is another path near the entrance to this area (to the right when facing the entrance). Take that path to find the item on a ledge at the end.
483 Chroma
Drop down the ledge from above and look to the left to find some stacked crates. The chroma will be in the crates.
Healing Tint Shard
After passing the giant blue glowing figures, you’ll follow along a path with a ledge on the left leading to a split in the path. Take the left and you’ll spot this shard under a giant statue after the next turn.
Journal – Expedition 63
While facing the above shard, take a right to reach a building with a weathervane on the top. Take a left through this area to spot the journal.
Paint Cage – Chroma Elixir Shard
You can spot the paint cage on a ledge to the right of the journal. The keys you’ll need to destroy are in the rock to the left of the journal, in a rock nook on the other side of the rock in the center of the area, and in a grouping of crates to the left of the ledge with the paint cage. To reach the cage, you’ll need to take a trail on the left of the building with the weathervane on it.
Ancient Sanctuary – Giant Bell Alley
Shortcut
To the right of the flag will be a rock ramp you can walk up. At the top, there will be a magic sphere you can interact with to drop a rope down into the area with the giant blue statues.
Pictos – Breaker
You’ll receive the pictos for defeating the Ultimate Sakapatate at the end of the area during the main story.
Energy Tint Shard
In the area where you fought the Ultimate Sakapatate, on the right side of the area.
Colour of Lumina
In the area where you fought the Ultimate Sakapatate, on the left side of the area.
