Stone Wave Cliffs Cave Area Collectibles & Noteworthy Tasks
About the Stone Wave Cliffs Cave
The Stone Wave Cliffs Cave can be found east of the Stone Cliffs Cave across the water. You’ll need to recruit Esquie and find his first stone to unlock his swimming ability to reach it. It’s a decent-sized area with several collectibles and a mini-boss waiting at the end.
Stone Wave Cliffs Cave – Entrance
Colour of Lumina
Just before a grapple point, you can find this Lumina in a ruined building along the right side of the main path.

While following the main path, you’ll cross a makeshift bridge, which brings you right to this Lumina.
Paint Cage
From the above Lumina, you’ll want to follow that path around to the right. This will bring you to a rope you can use to ascend to a higher level. There you’ll find the paint cage. You’ll be rewarded with a Chroma Elixir Shard for destroying all of the keys.
- On the blimp behind the cage, to the right
- Stuck on another blimp near the end of the area
- Located on some rocks above the path you took to reach the rope
Chromatic Hexga
Waiting for you at the end of the cave is the Chromatic Hexga. It likes to inflict rage on itself, allowing it to attack twice in a row and curse your party members, which will kill those afflicted at the end of its duration.
It also likes to apply shield often and powers up, making it invincible. When this happens, you’ll need to shoot the red crystal on its back to make it vulnerable again. It has a couple of attacks, but the main one it uses here is where it jumps up to attack the whole party once. You should try to parry this attack to deal some counter damage. Once it’s defeated, you’ll be rewarded with Energising Revive Pictos. It will give +3 AP to all allies when revived.

This journal can be located in the final area of the cave, near where you fought the Chromatic Hexga.
