How to Start the EX Treasure Twilight Relic Quest
To begin the EX Treasure Twilight Relic quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you must first purchase the Master Trials DLC pack. After completing this, the quest will start automatically.
If starting a new game, you must progress the story until you receive the paraglider. After doing that, trigger a loading screen by entering any shrine (or something similar). Return to Hyrule, and the quest should start.

Find Misko’s EX Journal in the Outpost Ruins
To find the location of the Twilight Relic, you’ll need to travel to the Outpost Ruins in search of Misko’s EX Journal, which has the information we seek. You can find the Outpost Ruins just east of the Great Plateau.
Inside the ruins, search for Misko’s EX Journal tucked away on a shelf in a broken building on the south side of the area. Reading it will reveal a clue pointing toward the location of the gear:
“The princess of twilight, whose stories are handed down alongside those of the Hero of Twilight… Her helmet can be found at the temple ruins soaked in the waters of Regencia River.“
Find Twilight Relic
To find the Twilight Relic, begin your search at the Sage Temple Ruins in the northwestern part of Hyrule Field, along the Regencia River.
Once at the ruins, head to the northwestern corner and use Magnesis to spot the chest in the water next to some rubble. Pull the chest free and open it to obtain Midna’s Helmet, a unique helmet that grants Guardian Resist Up.
Collecting the Twilight Relic completes the quest and adds another iconic, DLC-exclusive armor piece to your collection.
