Playstyles

When you meet the welcome party, you’ll decide your playstyle for Kingdom Come Deliverance II. This playstyle will give you some starting experience points, but the choice of what traits you will develop next is up to you.

  • Soldier likes nothing more than to have a weapon in his hand and wear a strong suit of armour; he is also infamous for his short temper.
  • Adviser prefers to solve things using his knowledge, sharp tongue and a kind word.
  • Scout likes to hide in the shadows and solve tasks silently, undetected by stealth.

After making your choice, you’ll receive a tutorial for persuasion. Make sure your choice reflects the playstyle you chose; otherwise, you’ll be called out for it.

Deal with Mutt (optional)

Make your way over to Hans. As you get close to him, Oats will ask that you call off Mutt. Hold the button prompted to call him to heel, during which Henry will mention that he is just hungry. You’ll then want to speak with Oats. Choose the “Have you got some food for my dog?” option. This will prompt a persuasion event where you’ll need to convince Oats to hand over his sausage.

When persuading Oats, we chose the Dread option and were successful. However, we also lost reputation.

If you pass the persuasion check, you’ll receive the sausage. Otherwise, you’ll need to defeat Tankard at a game of dice to win Oats’ lost ring. You can then trade this ring for the sausage.

After receiving the sausage, feed it to Mutt.

Find out from Sir Hans what the plan is

Head over to Hans, who is standing by the fenced-in area. Following the conversation, enter your inventory and equip the training sword and composite kettle hat. Once geared up, hop into the ring and speak with Hans to begin the swordfight. Follow the prompts during the tutorial fight. Afterward, you’ll engage in a practice duel where Hans will want to up the ante by giving 100 groschens to the winner.

Deja Vu Trophy: Defeat Capon during practice. Again.

After the battle, head to the campsite and sit by the fire to begin another conversation. During your banter, you’ll get to choose some skills to level:

  • Strength, agility, vitality, or speech
  • Houndmaster, stealth, survival, or scholarship
  • Sword, heavy weapons, unarmed, or marksmanship

Follow Sir Hans along the bank

Crouch through the weeds as you follow Hans to the singing women. As you near the group, you’ll find a woman doing laundry. Throw a rock when prompted to lead her down the other path so you can sneak by. Continue towards the woman until a cutscene triggers.

Get away with Sir Hans

Remain unseen as you follow Hans through the woods. After sprinting, you’ll need to speak with Hans to devise a plan. Explore the entry point of the gorge Hans pointed out, which can be found to Hans’s right. Once in the gorge, follow the path to the left to reach a clearing where you’ll meet up with Hans. A bandit will attack, and a cutscene will trigger. This will end the Easy Riders main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance II and begin the Fortuna main quest.
