In the Droning On side mission of Borderlands 4, you’ll be tasked with freeing and escorting a fiesty surveyor drone as it attempts to reach its destination. This mission combines light combat encounters with a bit of humor as the drone’s personality shines through. Stay alert for ambushes along the route, and make sure the drone survives until the very end.

To begin the Droning On side mission in Borderlands 4, interact with C.H.A.D., who is hanging from a rope on the hanging corpse on the far western edge of Idolator’s Noose.

Take Surveyor to its Target
To free the Surveyor, shoot the rope holding it then retrieve it from the ground. Afterwards, carry it southeast along the beach. You’ll need to physically walk it, as you will not be allowed to fast travel or drive it! The target is located on the southern side of The Pitted Stain Ripper Drill Station!
Once you arrive at the destination, place the Surveyor on the ground in the pile of fish next to a boat along the water.
The quest will then complete!
