Dragon Temple Walkthrough
Temple Entrance
On your second trip to the Dragon Temple (after receiving the Potino of Blight), approach the tree to trigger an event. Choose the option “Use the potion of blight.” to dump the liquid on the tree. This will lead to a fight against the Treebeast Alento. You can make quick work of it using fire-based attacks.
Once it’s defeated, the team will push up and make their base near the entrance. Make a save, and then head inside!
Corridor
In the corridor, you’ll want to head north through it to reach the door leading to the Labyrinthine Path. Make sure to collect the blue orbs on the ground along the way. One of them is the Polar Stone you’ll need for the A Guiding Gift quest.
Labyrinthine Path
When you reach the Labyrinthine Path, you’ll come to a sort of labyrinth filled with lots of stairs. Going down the wrong set of stairs will teleport back to where you started.
To find the right way, look up at the ceiling to see a line with yellow markings. Follow the line heading west and keep following it until it splits. You’ll want to follow the line right to reach the center of the area. You’ll find a door there leading to the Canopy Chamber.
Canopy Chamber
Upon entering the Canopy Chamber, a cutscene will trigger, introducing you to Eupha. After it ends, there will be a Plateau Mirage in the room you can use to save.
When you’re done, head north using the stairs there to go down. Keep following the path down multiple flights of stairs, reaching a door leading to A Bounty of Relics. Head inside for a little surprise.
A Bounty of Relics
After the cutscene, follow the path heading south to reach a Magla Hollow. Use it to save them and continue heading west. Take the next left to start heading south. This will trigger a cutscene where Eupha will tell the party about lifts.
You’ll then want to keep heading south, entering the 2nd door on the left. This will trigger another cutscene that involves a human. Sneak past it, exiting the room on the right side and arriving on a walkway. Follow it to the end, passing through the doorway.
Approach the lift for a quick event. You’ll then want to take down the IV elevator to the Steel Rendezvous.
The Steel Rendezvous
Now that we are in the Steel Rendezvous, you’ll want to head south with the goal of reaching the southeastern corner. You’ll find a door leading back up to the A Bounty of Relics area. If you want to explore this floor, now would be a good time.
A Bounty of Relics
You’ll now want to head west down the hallway, heading through the last door on the right. This will trigger a cutscene where the group powers up Lift II. You’ll then need to backtrack back by the Magna Hallow and use the Lift II there.
The Steel Rendezvous
Once you exit the lift, the group will spot the Human creating the copies. To catch it, there will be three switches in the area you’ll need to flip. This will close three gates, allowing you to trap the Human. Approach it to trigger a mini-boss fight.
Mini-Boss – Homo Flaemo
The Homo Flaemo is Level 35 and weak to electric attacks. The Human will attack the party using single-target and AOE physical attacks. It will also occasionally boost its attack and defense.
When its health gets low, it might try to break out a one-kit KO attack targeting one of your party members. When it falls, take Lift II back up to the A Bounty of Relics area.
A Bounty of Relics
Follow the objective marker south to the previously filled room with humans. Then, you’ll want to enter the last door on the left at the end of the hall. Flip the switch in that room to power up Lift III. Make your way to the lift and use it to reach the Moment of Epiphany.
The Moment of Epiphany
Now that you are in the Moment of Epiphany, work your way to the center of the room. You can do this by heading north and going clockwise around the room or heading west and going counterclockwise.
Once in the center, head north to find a door you can open. Pass through to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene, head down the stairs leading under the mural.
Divine Altar Path
Another cutscene will occur after reaching the Divine Altar Path. Once it ends, head north to pass by Magla Hollow. Save up there, then proceed north. Our foe, the dragon, awaits!
Altar of the Twelve
When you’re ready, enter the Altar of the Twelve and approach the altar where the dragon and lance reside. This will trigger a cutscene leading to a fight with the dragon. You’ll be able to select your party before the battle actually begins.
Boss Fight – Homo Margo and Malvirta Drako Eht
This boss fight has you fighting both the Homo Margo and the Malvirta Drako Eht. You’ll want to focus on damaging the human first, then turn your attention to the dragon. Margo is weak to wind attacks, so work some in to get rid of it quickly.
Once that’s done, you’ll be able to focus on the dragon. The Human likes to cast Dekunda to remove stat downs, so use Eupha’s wind skill to decrease its defense. Meanwhile, the dragon will attack using the attacks listed below. It mainly deals with physical attacks that are either single-target or AOE. It will also roar to decrease all of the party’s stats.
Occasionally, the dragon will use Poison Scratch trying to inflict poison. If it does, Eupha has a skill that can heal that. Once both enemies have been taken care of, a cutscene will trigger.
Dragon Attacks
- Tail Swipe – AOE Phuslca
- Roar – Decreases all stats
- Poison Scratch – Physical single-target trying to poison
- Dragon God Breath – AOE
