Tracking them all down takes time and exploration, but the payoff is well worth the effort.
In this guide, we’ll show you the locations of 50 of 100 Mini Medals. Whether you’re aiming for tracking down a missing Mini Medal or full completion, this guide has everything you need to master Mini Medals in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined.

Dragon Quest VII Mini Medals Guide
Mini Medals #1-50 Locations
Mini Medal #1 – (Present) Estard Castle
Estard Island – The first mini medal can be found in the King’s bed chamber on Level 2 in a nightstand next to a wardrobe.
Mini Medal #2 – (Present) Estard Castle
Estard Island – This coin can be found in a barrel to the west of the Estard Castle’s drawbridge. To reach it, you will need to use the raft, which you unlock during The Heroes of Ballymolloy main story.
Mini Medal #3 – (Present) Estard Castle
Estard Island – On Estard Castle – Level 1, head to the back side of the central stairs leading up to find a set of stairs in their shadow heading down. Take them to reach the Estard Castle: Treasure Room. Once inside, use the Ultimate Key to unlock the gate then loot all the chests to find this mini medal!
Mini Medal #4 – (Present) Estard Castle
Estard Island – Estard Castle: Dungeon – To reach the dungeon, you will need to take the raft around the moat. After exiting the raft, head straight and use the stairs to reach the dungeon. Inside the dungeon, you will need to use the Ultimate Key to unlock the cell. Break the pot to find this mini medal!
Mini Medal #5 – (Present) Estard
Estard Island – This medal can be found in the house directly north of the fountain in Estard on the second level. It requires the Magic Key to open!
Mini Medal #6 – (Present) Pilchard Bay
Estard Island – Open the chest in the general’s store in Pilchard Bay using the Thief’s Key
Mini Medal #7 – (Present) Pilchard Bay
Estard Island – Use the Ultimate Key in Pilchard Bay: House – Basement Level 1 to open the locked chest containing a mini medal.
Mini Medal #8 – (Past) The Tower
Ballymolloy Region – This Mini Medal can be found in a chest in The Tower – Level 6.
Mini Medal #9 – (Present) Ballymolloy
Ballymolloy Region – Smash a pot on the right side of the church in Ballymolloy to receive this mini medal.
Mini Medal #10 – (Past) Burnmont
Emberdale Region – This Mini Medal can be found in a chest on Burnmont – Level 3. This chest will be accessible after dropping down the pit on Level 5.
Mini Medal #11 – (Present) Emberdale
Emberdale Region – Interact with the wardrobe in the Emberdale: Inn to find this mini medal!
Mini Medal #12 – (Present) Emberdale
Emberdale Region – In Emberdale, use the Ultimate Key to open the locked chest in Gaffer’s House – Level 2.
Mini Medal #13 – (Present) Burnmont
Emberdale Region – To find this mini medal, loot a chest to the left of the angel statue on Burnmont – Level 1.
Mini Medal #14 – (Present) Burnmont
Emberdale Region – Unlock the chest on Level 1 with an Ultimate Key.
Mini Medal #15 – (Past) Regenstein
Regenstein Region – After saving Felix, enter his secret base on the east side of Regenstein behind the church to find this medal in a chest.
Mini Medal #16 – (Present) Unnamed Island
This mini medal can be found on a small island south of Estard Island after completing Regenstein.
Mini Medal #17 – (Past) L’Arca
L’Arca Region – This mini medal can be found inside a wardrobe in a house on the southeastern side of L’Arca.
Mini Medal #18 – (Past) Grotta del Sigillo
L’Arca Region – Loot the chest on Grotta del Sigillo – Level 5 to find this mini medal.
Mini Medal #19 – (Present) Dock
L’Arca Region – To receive this mini medal, break a barrel at the bottom of the stairs on the dock.
Mini Medal #20 – (Present) Grotta del Sigillo
L’Arca Region – This mini medal can be found inside a chest on Grotta del Sigillo – Level 5.
Mini Medal #21 – (Present) Palazzo di Bulgio
Location: L’Arca Region – To access this area, you will need to use the magic carpet. This mini medal can be found in a locked chest on Palazzo di Bulgio – Level 2. To open it, you will need the Magic Key, which can be obtained on Level 3.
Mini Medal #22 – (Present) Frobisher
Frobisher Region – To find this medal in Frobisher, enter the building east of the church and break a barrel.
Mini Medal #23 – (Present) Institute of Automatry
Frobisher Region – This mini medal can be found inside a pot in the Institute of Automatry: Storeroom.
Mini Medal #24 – (Present) Automaton Stronghold
Frobisher Region – To the left of the chest on Automaton Stronghold – Level 1, you’ll find this mini medal in a pot.
Mini Medal #25 – (Past) Roamer Encampment
Roamer Encampment Region – This medal can be found in a pot on the blue rug located on the southeastern side of the camp.
Mini Medal #26 – (Past) Poolside Cave
Roamer Encampment Region – This item can be found on the ground in the northern side of Poolside Cave – Underground Level 2. Use the stairs in the southwestern part of Underground Level 1 to reach this area.
Mini Medal #27 – (Present) Roamer Encampment Region
Roamer Encampment Region – This mini medal can be found on the small island west of the Mountain Pass.
Mini Medal #28 – (Present) Roamer Encampment
Roamer Encampment – This mini medal can be found on the right side of the northwestern tent.
Mini Medal #29 – (Present) Dig Site
Roamer Encampment Region – At the Dig Site, head down the well to find this mini medal in a wardrobe.
Mini Medal #30 – (Present) Dig Site
Roamer Encampment Region – This mini medal can be found in a pot near the newly discovered Underground Tunnel on the northwestern side of the Dig Site.
Mini Medal #31 – (Present) Dig Site
Roamer Encampment Region – This mini medal can be found inside a locked chest at the Dig Site Inn. You will need the Magic Key to open it!
Mini Medal #32 – (Present) Dig Site
Roamer Encampment Region – This medal can be found in a chest at Dig Site – Underground Level 1, which becomes available after recruiting Sir Mervyn. You will need to head down to Level 3 and use the teleport pad to reach it.
Mini Medal #33 – (Past) Pilgrim’s Rest
Alltrades Abbey Region – Break a barrel on the northwestern side of the building at Pilgrim’s Rest.
Mini Medal #34 – (Past) Alltrades Abbey
Alltrades Abbey Region – Win the colloseium tournament during the main story to reach the Alltrades Abbey – Basement Level 1. There you’ll find a room with an electric floor. The mini medal will be located in a chest on this section of the floor.
Mini Medal #35 – (Past) Pilgrim’s Perdition
Alltrades Abbey Region – This medal can be found in a pot on the roof of the southern building in Pilgrim’s Perdition.
Mini Medal #36 – (Past) Pilgrim’s Perdition
Alltrades Abbey Region – Use the Thief’s Key to unlock the chest between the pub and the church.
Mini Medal #37 – (Past) Western Cave
Alltrades Abbey Region – The medal can be found in a chest on the western side of Western Cave – Level 2.
Mini Medal #38 – (Past) Precipice Pass
Alltrades Abbey Region – Travel through the Western Cave to reach Precipice Pass. Once you emerge from the cave, head immediately west and go down the stairs. Interact with the shiny object on the ground to find the mini medal.
Mini Medal #39 – (Past) Cave Leading to the Dungeon
Alltrades Abbey Region – This mini medal can be found in a pot in the kitchen of the Dungeon of Descent – Underground Level 2.
Mini Medal #40 – (Past) Tunnel to Alltrades Abbey
Alltrades Abbey Region – This mini medal can be found in the Tunnel to the Abbey – Underground Level 2 in the room with all the pots.
Mini Medal #41 – (Present) Pilgrim’s Rest
Alltrades Abbey Region – This mini medal can be found in a thief’s key chest at Pilgrim’s Rest Inn. To open the locked chest, you’ll need the Thief’s Key.
Mini Medal #42 – (Present) Ruins Near Alltrades Abbey
Alltrades Abbey Region – This mini medal can be found on the west side of the Ruins Near Alltrades Abbey under a tree.
Mini Medal #43 – (Present) Bandits’ Base
Alltrades Abbey Region – Loot from a chest at the Bandits’ Base: Interior. To enter this room, you must steal the Bandit’s Key from the wardrobe in the boss’s room.
Mini Medal #44 – (Present) La Bravoure
La Bravoure Region – Loot a chest on the upper level of the church. To reach it, you will need to speak with Honore and follow him there.
Mini Medal #45 – (Present) La Bravoure
La Bravoure Region – In the La Bravoure: Cellar where the real magic carpet is kept behind the church. This area becomes accessible after completing the Rumours of a Music Man main story quest.
Mini Medal #46 – (Present) Tombe des Heros Inconnus
La Bravoure Region – The Tombe des Heros Inconnus area will become accessible after acquiring the magic carpet. Once available, enter the tomb to find the mini medal!
Mini Medal #47 – (Past) Temple Palace
Al-Balad Region – After Aishe joins the party and you unlock the ability to have two vocations (moonlighting), travel to the past and head to the Banks of Nihil. From there, help Hadid to reach the Likeness of the Great Evil. Deal with the story event to obtain the necklace, which will then be given to the queen. Following that conversation, speak with her aide standing to the right of the throne, and she will grant you access to the treasure room.
Travel to Basement Level 1 and enter Queen Neferta’s Chamber.
Go through the door to the right of her bed and interact with the statue inside to reveal a secret set of stairs that will take you to the treasure room. Open the right chest to find the mini medal.
Mini Medal #48 – (Past) Al-Balad
Al-Balad Region – This medal can be found in the eastern building of Al-Balad.
Mini Medal #49 – (Past) Likeness of the Great Evil
Al-Balad Region – Likeness of the Great Evil – In order to access this area, you will need to progress through the story until after you meet Aishe. You will then need to take her back to the castle to meet the king and princess. Whenever you travel to the Shrine of Mysteries in the present, you’ll get summoned to the priestess of vocations. After speaking with her, travel to the Banks of the Nihil in the past to return to the Likeness of the Great Evil. Loot the chest on the right side of the reconstruction.
Mini Medal #50 – (Present) Temple Palace
Al-Balad Region – This mini medal can be found behind the Temple Palace on the north side.
