Chapter 1 Village of Khalim Collectibles & Secrets
During Chapter 1 Village of Khalim in Doom: The Dark Ages, you’ll find six secrets and five collectibles!
Secret #1
After completing the tutorial on the power gauntlet, you’ll have to climb up a wall to progress forward. Do not climb up this wall! Instead, break the boards on the left to reveal the secret area.
On the left, you’ll find a Life Sigil near a metal gate.
Collectible #1 – Imp Toy
After getting the Blue Key from the church, bust through the boarded-up window in the church then turn around and head to the area outside the church. Use the Blue Key to open the gate where this secret awaits.
Collectible #2 – Doom Slayer Codex
During the “Destroy the Demonic Portals” objective, you’ll reach an area with a giant Sentinel statue. Head behind it and deal with the demon gate. After destroying this gate, follow the path to the right of where the gate was and climb up two walls to reach this collectible.
Secret #2
From the front of the giant Sentinel statue, head west. With the demonic portal in front of you, head right, following along the rail to the ledge.
On the ledge, look to the right to find an area that you can jump down into.
When you approach the secret, a barrier will encompass it and spawn demons. Shoot the explosive barrels to kill them instantly.
Collectible #3 – Nightmare Weapon Skin
You’ll find the Nightmare Weapon Skin in the above secret area.
Secret #3 – Purple Key
If you face the front of the giant statue, this purple key can be found to the northwest. After you destroy the nearby demonic portal, cross the wooden bridge and follow the path to the right to reach the key.
Secret #4
Return to where you acquired the Shredder. Face the front of the container and head to the ledge directly behind it.
Drop down to a lower ledge where you can reach this secret area.
Collectible #4 – Soldier Toy
You’ll find this collectible in the above secret area.
Secret #5
Return to the purple gate underneath the giant Sentinel statue and use the Purple Key to open it. Inside, you’ll find a Life Sigil.
Secret #6
After the first encounter on the “Defend the Beach” objective, a barrier will drop. After breaking the barrier, climb up the rock wall on the right to find this secret area.
Collectible #5 – Village of Khalim Codex
This codex can be found in the above secret area.
