Welcome to NGB and our Kingdom Come Deliverance II walkthrough for the Bird of Prey task! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start the Bird of Prey Quest
To begin the Bird of Prey task in Kingdom Come Deliverance, speak with Gamekeeper Vostatek at his house southeast of Vidlak Pond.
Bird of Prey Walkthrough
Rocktower Pond Poacher
Deal with the poacher in the forest near Rocktower Pond
Head to the search area all the way to the west of Nomads’ Camp. Along the main road in the southern part of the search area you’ll find the Cottage Ruins.
Loot the Rocktower Pond poacher’s kit inside and let Mutt sniff it. Follow Mutt as he tracks the poachers to their camp.
Speak with the person there. You’ll need to decide his fate… to the gallows or have him promise to stop poaching.
Report back to Vostatek
Report back to Vostatek at his house southeast of Vidlak Pond. He’ll task you with catching another poacher!
Vidlak Pond Poacher
Talk to the tanner about the poacher (optional)
Travel to Vidlak Pond, northwest of Vostatek’s house, and then locate Tanner Banesh at the tannery in the southeastern part of the town. Speak with him, asking about the poachers to learn he knows nothing. He will tell you that if you speak to the Pavliks, they would name him the poacher as they hate him. Exhaust his dialog options to end the conversation.
Talk to the fisherman’s wife about poachers (optional)
The next stop is to speak with Vidlak fisherman’s wife, who can be found in the northeastern part of the village.
Ask her about the poachers, and she will immediately claim the tanner is the poacher. Go through her remaining dialog options to finish the conversation.
Deal with the poacher in the forest near Vidlak Pond
Head to the first north of the Vidlak Pond, past the deer hunting spot. You’ll find a camp hidden in the woods, northeast of the deer hunting spot marker on the map.
Enter the camp and speak with the man there.
To arrest him peacefully, you’ll need to pass a skill check. Upon being successful, you’ll have the option to take him to the bailiff or let him go. Escorting him to the bailiff will see him executed for his crimes.
Tell Vostatek about the Poacher from Vidlak Pond
Return to Vostatek and tell him that the poacher has been dealt with. He’ll reward you for helping and mention another gamekeeper who may need help.

Slatego Forests Poacher
Ask Varek the Gamekeeper about work
Travel to Varek, who can be found at Nebakov Mill, and speak with him.
Ask the gravedigger about poachers (optional)
Travel east of Troskowitz and speak with Gravedigger Ignatius about the poacher.
Find out the truth about the poacher in the Slatego forests
You’ll find an empty camp slightly southwest of the Unfinished Cottage. Loot the poacher’s knife from a sack under the shelter and have Mutt sniff it.
Follow Mutt as he tracks the Slatego Forest poacher.
Unfortunately, he’ll have already met his end.
Loot his body to receive his hunting knife!
Tell Varel about the poacher from Slatego
Return to Varel at Nebakov Mill and speak with him about the dead poacher. He’ll then tell you of another that needs to be dealt with.
Lower Semine Forests Poacher
Ask Miller Kreyzl about poachers (optional)
Travel to Lower Semine Mill and speak with Miller Kreyzl about the poacher.
Find the poacher in the Lower Semine forests
Travel to the search area in the forest southeast of Lower Semine Mill.
Wipe out the poaching bandits (optional)
Defeat the bandits if you wish!
Find evidence of poaching in the camp (3)
In the camp, examine the following items:
- Hanging pelt next to the wooden logs
- Hanging deer carcass
- Deer carcass (from the main camp head northeast)
Report the Lower Semine camp to the Gamekeeper
Travel to Nebakov Mill and speak with Varel. He’ll now tell you about the ghost poacher.
Kopanina Forests Poacher
Find out about poaching in the Kopanina forests
Travel to the search area northeast of Trosky Castle. You’ll find the poacher in his camp just off the main road on the western side of the search area below the cliff.
You can persuade him to hand over proof that you’ve stopped him.
Tell Varel about the Kopaniana poacher
Return to Varel and tell him that you’ve dealt with the poacher. As a reward, you’ll receive the following items:
- 80 groschen
- Strong Aesop
- Strong Bowman’s brew
- 3 Dried deer ribs
- Marksman’s kit
- Cobbler’s kit
