How to Start the Bestower of All: Ch. 3 Castle of the Hollow Queen Quest
The Bestower of All: Ch. 3 Castle of the Hollow Queen quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Bestower of All: Ch. 2 Hill of the Dead quest. The recommended level for this quest is 53.
Bestower of All: Ch. 3 Castle of the Hollow Queen Walkthrough
Much like Sonia, Elrica has also been transformed into a fallen. Determined to make Sazantos answer for his atrocities, the Guardians of Light set out to confront their former companion.
Meet with Alaune
You’ll find Alaune in the Castle Edoras: Throne Room. Speak with her to trigger a cutscene.
Speak to Rondo
Next, you’ll need to speak with Rondo at the castle entrance in Castle Edoras Gate. You’ll receive a warning that your journey is approaching a turning point. As such, certain movements and Path Actions will be unavailable until the completion of this chapter.
Head to Hell’s Gate
Once you gain control, simply head west a short way to trigger another cutscene.
Proceed through Castle Edoras in Hell
Make your way through Hell: Castle Edoras to encounter Dark Knight Sazantos. After your encounter, continue to head through Castle Edoras.
Eventually, you’ll reach Hell: Castle Edoras – Hall of Remembrance. When you are ready to proceed, interact with the glowing orb.
After reminiscing, you’ll receive Elrica’s Curse – Dying Wish. Once you gain control, continue through the castle!
Upon reaching Hell: Castle Edoras – 4F, Rondo will stay behind to fight the horde, allowing you to continue. Eventually, you’ll reach another orb. Interact with it just like before! This time, you’ll receive Elrica’s Curse – Deepest Desire.
Once you gain control, continue forward! After passing through Hell: Castle Edoras – 6F, you’ll find another orb to interact with and will receive Elrica’s Curse – ???.
Just after the save point on Hell: Castle Edoras – 6F, you’ll encounter Elrica by her throne.

After the fight, you’ll face Elrica! This fight is scripted. When you get her to the red, she’ll get max shield and a cutscene will trigger between her and Queen Alaune. Once she closes her heart, you won’t be able to see her shield or weaknesses. After Alaune’s words weaken Elrica’s curse, you’ll see her shield and weaknesses again.
