How to Start the Bestower of All: Ch. 1 Between Life and Death Quest
The Bestower of All: Ch. 1 Between Life and Death quest in Octopath Traveler 0 will automatically begin after completing the Finale: Bestower of All quest. The recommended level for this quest is 51.
Bestower of All: Ch. 1 Between Life and Death Walkthrough
Sazantos slays Finis and vanishes with Signa. From the stolen rings to the Accurst Flame, mysterious gate, and the dead… The situation grows ever more dire.
Talk to Krauser
To officially begin the quest, travel to Cragspear in the Cliftlands Region and speak with Krauser in the Castle Edoras Gate area. He will be standing in front of the castle. You’ll receive a warning that your journey is approaching a turning point. As such, certain movements and Path Actions will be unavailable until the completion of the chapter.
Enter the throne room
After the cutscene, enter the throne room in Castle Edoras to trigger another cutscene. During the cutscene, you’ll have to decide whether you are in favor of the execution of Empress Tatloch or not. Your decision here truly does not matter as she lives either way.
Head to the castle square
You’ll then need to make your way to Castle Square to discover that Empress Tatloch has been brought before the people for execution. Events will quickly turn and you’ll find yourself chasing after something.
Go to where the ring points
In Castle Edoras Gate, head west and interact with the portal to reach Hell: Cragspear.
When you are ready, head to the southwestern part of the area. After approaching the dark mist, head to the northeastern corner of town. Use the Contend Path Action on the Power-Drunk Soldier to acquire the Edoras Soldier’s Curse. His danger level is 44.

Once the mist has been cleared, head through the following areas:
On the northwestern side of Hell: Geist Canyon, you’ll find Dark Priestess Signa, and a boss fight will trigger.

This boss is capable of attacking both the front and back rows. After defeating the boss, the chapter will complete!
