Welcome to NGB and our Kingdom Come Deliverance II walkthrough for the Battle of the Frogs and Mice quest! This guide will cover everything you need to know to easily complete this quest, including how to start the mission and the steps you will need to take to finish it.

How to Start the Battle of the Frogs and Mice Quest
After completing the Frogs or Mice side quests, you can start the quest by speaking to the giver of the mentioned quests. We recommend completing both quests before accepting this one.
Battle of the Frogs and Mice Walkthrough
Talk to Bailiff Thrush (optional)
Travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush, who can be found wandering around town, to tell him about the conflict between Tachov and Zhelejov.
You can use the persuasion option or choose the “Von Bergow would reward you” to convince the bailiff to help settle the dispute once and for all. You’ll then need to pass a persuasion check to examine the prior bailiff’s rare book.
Read the chronicle at the Troskowitz Rathaus (optional)
Make your way over to the bailiff’s office and read the book on the podium to the right of the scribe.
Flip through the book until Henry comes across a phrase written in Latin. Speak with the scribe and ask him to translate the following phrase:
- Fecit ordinem in region ope clavi ferrei
Find the border nail in the pasture (optional)
The border nail can be found in the trunk of a large tree on the southern side of the main road in the center of the search area. Interact with the nail!
Tell Thrush you found the border nail (optional)
Return to Thrush to report your findings.
Go to the pasture with Olbram/Prochek
Travel to whomever you sided with and speak with them to travel to the pasture together.
Reconcile the quarreling villages
If you did all the optional tasks above and can help the two quarreling villages reconcile, you’ll receive the Truce Trophy! After the events, speak with Thrush. As a reward, you’ll receive the Master’s Studies I if you read the previous bailiff’s book during the optional objective.
Side with Olbram
Before the fight, you can pass a persuasion check to get someone from the other side to leave. After the conversation, participate in the fist fight! Afterwards, speak with Olbram to receive 90 groschen.
Side with Prochek
Before the fight, you can pass a persuasion check to get someone from the other side to leave. After the conversation, participate in the fist fight! Afterwards, speak with Prochek to receive 90 groschen.
