Travel to Troskowitz and speak with Apothecary Emerich on the southwestern side of town to get a lead.
Ask the woodcutters about Pavlena (optional)
On the east side of town, speak with Woodcutter Dushko to learn that he’s looking for Roman.

You can say that you’re looking for Pavlena. Suggest that you look for them together, and by together, you do it all while he does nothing.
During the conversation, you’ll be prompted with two conversation checks. The first will occur when you ask why Roman wants to leave town. If you pass, you’ll learn that Pavlena is pregnant with his child. The second is requesting money since we’ll be the ones taking the risk by breaking into the house. If you pass it, you’ll receive 25 groschen.
Search Roman’s house

Enter Roman’s house nearby by lockpicking the front door. Once inside, head through the left door to enter the living quarters. Examine the table to confirm that Pavlena has been here.
Return to Dushko
Return to Woodcutter Dushko to gain a new lead.
Find the clearing that Dushko mentioned
Return to Roman’s house and follow the path past the clothesline down to the stream. Follow it southeast until you reach two giant rocks.

Head left before the rocks to find a pond with a picnic spread.

Search the crime scene
Interact with the following items:
- Bloody rock on the yellow towel
- Blood leading northeast
- Piece of Pavlena’s dress next to a rope
If you have Mutt with you, he can pick up the scent from the dress. If not, follow the blood trail until you reach a corpse next to a boar.
Ask the pig herder about the corpse
Head north of the body and speak with Hogherd Hugo to learn that the corpse must be Roman. You’ll also learn that a farmhand was seen fleeing the woods with a spade in his hand.
Confront Straw the farmhand

Return to Troskovitz and head to the farm in the southwestern corner. Once there, speak with Straw near the chicken coop. You’ll get a persuasion check. If you fail, you’ll have to fight Straw until he yields. You can then determine his fate.
Find the gorge where Ota is holding Pavlena
Travel south of town to the objective. Watch out for Bristly, the guard dog, as you near the ladder. At the top, you’ll find Ota and Pavlena. There are multiple persuasion checks to let Pavlena go. If you succeed and she goes free, she’ll kill Ota herself. If you force him to let her go and you fail, he will kill her and turn hostile towards you.
After climbing up the ladder behind Bristly, if you’re quick and accurate, you can shoot Ota in the face with an arrow before he can harm Pavlena. This will allow you to untie and speak with her. You’ll need to draw and cock your arrow while hiding behind the cliff wall before lining up the shot.
If Pavlena still lives, speak with her. You’ll have to decide whether or not to tell her mother about the pregnancy. Pavlena is worried that her mother will get rid of the child, knowing that the baby’s father is dead. Choose “I can’t promise that.”
After the cutscene, choose to escort Pavlena back to her house. When you arrive, you’ll tell her everything that happened, and she’ll request that you kill Jakesh once and for all. You can attempt to persuade her to reconcile with him herself, but if that fails, you’ll be forced to reveal that Pavlena is pregnant, resulting in Bozhena agreeing to make peace. This will give you the opportunity to convince Jakesh to drop the accusations against them.
Persuade Jakesh to make peace with Bozhena
Travel to the farm on the southwestern side of Troskowitz and speak with Jakesh in the horse pasture. Try to persuade or tell him that the daughter is pregnant, which will make him instantly agree.
Tell Bozhena about reconciliation with Jakesh
Return to Bozhena. You can give her the money Jakesh gave you as compensation. If you do, she’ll offer that you can keep half. It’s your choice. After your decision, the Bad Blood quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance II will end.
