Astamon Overview (In-Game Profile)
Though Astamon is an Ultimate-level Digimon, its power exceeds that of a Mega Digimon. As a noble of the Dark Area, it leads a force of demonic Digimon. Astamon is cruel to its enemies, but also kind to its allies, and many demonic Digimon are drawn to its service because of its personal charisma.
The bullets Astamon fires from its beloved machine gun, “Oro Salmon”, have a will of their own and will pursue their targets literally to the farthest corners of hell. Astamon’s special move, Mad Dog Fire, fires all the bullets in its Oro Salmon in a deadly barrage.

Having the Virus attribute, Astamon is weak to Digimon with the Vaccine attribute, while resisting those with the Data attribute.

Where to Find Astamon
Astamon cannot be found while exploring the Human or Digital Worlds. To add Astamon as a partner in Digimon Story Time Stranger, you’ll need to digivolve a lower-generation Digimon or de-digivolve a higher-generation Digimon into Astamon. Refer to the Astamon Digivolution section below for more information.
Astamon Digivolution
Digivolution is the process that allows your Digimon to grow stronger and unlock new forms. Each Digivolution path has specific requirements, such as reaching a certain level, achieving a minimum stat threshold, or meeting personality and bond conditions.
Some Digimon also require special items or story progression to evolve. Choosing when and how to Digivolve is essential, since certain evolutions may branch into multiple options, giving you flexibility in shaping your partner’s role in battle.
De-Digivolution
In Digimon Story Time Stranger, de-digivolution allows you to return a Digimon to a previous form. Unlike standard digivolution, which requires stat thresholds and level milestones, de-digivolution has its own conditions. To de-digivolve a Digimon, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Encounter requirement: The Target Digimon must have already been encountered at least once during your playthrough.
- Personality requirement: The Target Digimon’s base Personality must match the current Digimon’s Personality.
Meeting either condition will unlock the option to de-digivolve, giving you more flexibility in reshaping your team and experimenting with different evolutionary paths.

Digivolution
Digivolution is the process of evolving a Digimon into a stronger form. Each Digimon can evolve along multiple branches depending on its stats, level, and personality. To digivolve a Digimon, you must meet certain requirements.
