How to Start the An Encounter with Celsus Quest
To begin the An Encounter with Celsus quest in Octopath Traveler 0, speak with Celsus in the tavern at Valore: Main Boulevard in the Woodlands Region.
An Encounter with Celsus Walkthrough
Celsus, the muscle hired by the tavern on the outskirts of Valore, renders even the most rowdy patrons speechless with his knife-throwing skills.
Speak with Celsus
After meeting Celsus, speak with him and tell him that you’d like to hire him. You’ll then need to tell him the reason you’d like to hire him. We chose “To seek renewal,” and he agreed to join us! Afterwards, the quest completed. Celsus will now be your companion and can become a resident of Wishvale.
Celsus is a thief who baits enemies into easily avoided attacks and uses the following weapons: sword and dagger. His battle skills include Goad, which focuses enemy attacks on yourself and lowers the enemy’s accuracy, and Double Throw, which unleashes two sword attacks with a high chance to be a critical hit on random foes. He can also learn a support skill that further enhances evasion.
