How to Start the A Wife Washed Away Quest
To begin the A Wife Washed Away side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, speak with Fronk in the baths under the throne room at Zora’s Domain.
You must complete the Divine Beast Vah Ruta quest before this quest becomes available.
How to Complete the A Wife Washed Away Quest
Divine Beast Vah Ruta has calmed down, yet Fronk’s wife, Mei, has not yet returned home. Fronk is too discouraged to search for her himself, so you will need to search for Mei in his place.
Locate Mei
After accepting the quest, speak with Fronk again to learn that Mei was fishing in the Zora River, which starts southwest of Zora’s Domain. This long river passes through the Lanayru Wetlands then goes between Central Hyrule and Necluda. Finally, it empties into Lake Hylia.
To find Mei, travel to Lake Hylia. Once there, head to a small island on the east side of Hylia Island.
Speak with her and she’ll hand you five Staminoka Bass. This Hyrule bass is the biggest fish by never getting caught (until now). Its long life results in a cooked dish that will restore a lot of stamina.
After speaking with Mei, the quest will complete!
