How to Start the A Stubborn Master Quest
To begin the A Stubborn Master quest in Octopath Traveler 0, speak with the woman west of the inn in Rippletide, which is in the Coastlands Region. The recommended level for this quest is 21.
A Stubborn Master Walkthrough
A master fisherman is in search of an apprentice, but his high standards make for slim pickings…
Search for someone robust
You’ll find the guy you’re looking for on the dock in Rippletide. Speak with him!
Speak with the fisherman’s daughter
Next, return to the girl west of the inn.
Search for someone with an interest in fish
This time, you’ll need to enter the tavern and speak with the person standing at the counter.
Speak with the fisherman’s daughter
Once again, return to the fisherman’s daughter. The master fisherman will reject this person as well.
Find someone who meets the requirements
In search of your person, travel to Theatropolis. Once there, use the path action Inquire on the Intropective Youth near the eastern exit. Next, hire the person to get them to join your party.
Take the young man to the fisherman’s daughter
With the man in your party, return to the fisherman’s daughter to see if this one is acceptable. After the cutscene, the quest will complete, and you’ll receive a Rainbow Shell Charm and Quality Whiskey.
