How to Start A Gift for My Beloved
To begin the A Gift for My Beloved side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, head to Hateno Village in the Necluda region, northeast of East Necluda. Look for Manny, who can usually be found leaning against the stable at the inn or outside his house, depending on the time of day.
Speak with him, and he’ll mention a girl named Prima who works at the Ton Pu Inn. Manny is eager to win her affection and wants to know if there’s something she loves the most.
Completing A Gift for My Beloved
Visit the Ton Pu Inn
Head to the Ton Pu Inn, located at the back of Hateno Village. Look for the building marked with blue banners featuring a moon symbol. Inside, you’ll find Prima behind the counter. To speak with her properly, walk behind the counter and initiate a conversation.
Choose the “What do you like?” dialogue option, and Prima will (jokingly) say she dreams of owning 100 restless crickets.
Return to Manny and choose the “I talked to Prima” option. Link will tell him that Prima wants 100 crickets. Manny admits that he also loves crickets, but catching that many would be difficult for him. Instead, he asks Link to bring him 10 restless crickets to get the collection started.
Collect 10 Restless Crickets
To gather restless crickets, cut tall grass with your sword. Occasionally, one will hop out, allowing you to scoop it up quickly. The Ginner Woods and Midla Woods, located just west of Hateno Village, are decent spots to farm them, though spawn rates depend on RNG.
A helpful trick is to charge up your sword for a spin attack, cutting a wide circle of grass at once. Then, run around spamming the A button to collect any crickets that appear.
Deliver the Restless Crickets to Manny
Once you’ve collected all 10 restless crickets, return to Manny and hand them over. He’ll reward you with 100 rupees, which will complete the A Gift for My Beloved side quest.
