How to Start the A Father’s Love Quest
To begin the A Father’s Love quest in Octopath Traveler 0, speak with the man on the western side of the Path to Herminia’s Manse in the Woodlands Region after completing the Bestower of All: Ch. 2 Hill of the Dead quest.
A Father’s Love Walkthrough
In Valore, a young hunter chats with Celsus, an old friend of his late father. It seems there was bad blood between the boy and his father, a former syndicate member.
Listen to the man’s story in Hell’s Valore Forest
Next, travel to Hell: Valore Forest and use the Contend Path Action on the Wounded Syndicate Member on the western side of the area to receive the Rusted Dagger. His danger level is 52!

Speak with the young hunter
Once defeated, return to the Path to Herminia’s Manswer and speak with the hunter on the western. As a reward, you’ll receive a Platinum Coin and the quest will then end.
