How to Start the Prospective Partners Affinity Mission
In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, affinity and main story missions are unique in that you can only undertake one at a time. If you begin an affinity mission, you won’t be able to start a main story mission, and vice versa. Furthermore, you can only have one affinity or story mission active at any given time.
The Prospective Partners affinity mission in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition can be found at the BLADE Barracks in NLA’s Administrative District. The required and recommended level for this mission is 34. To begin this mission, you must complete Chapter 9 and survey 14% of planet Mira. The primary destination of this mission is Noctilum.
Prospective Partners Overview
Chausson has decided to further expand his investigation of the Ganglion across Mira.
Objectives
- Explore 15 percent of Mira
- Report back to Director General Chausson inside BLADE Tower
- Head to the battleground at Noctilum’s Middle Hushflood and gather information
- Gather parts from Wrothian Skells
- Report back to Director General Chausson inside BLADE Tower
Prospective Partners Walkthrough
After accepting this mission, you’ll be tasked with surveying 15 percent of Mira. If you’ve been actively exploring while completing missions, you’ll probably already be done with this. If not, placing more probes in each region is the easiest thing to do. This will open up the nearby segments, showing you additional things you can complete to raise the survey percentage.
Once you’ve reached the required 15 percent, travel to BLADE Tower in the Administrative District and then interact with the BLADE Tower Entrance to trigger a cutscene with Maurice.
When it concludes, you’re next task will be to head to the Middle Hushflood area in Noctilum, located in the northern part of the region. If you have FN Site 203, you can fast travel to that and then head northeast. Another cutscene will trigger as you approach the objective market on the map in the middle of the battlefield.
After the cut-scene, a new search area will appear on your mini-map, and you’ll be tasked with gathering parts from the Wrothian Skells.
They will be marked on your screen and indicated with a yellow square on the mini-map. Once you’ve collected three, return to BLADE Tower in NLA to deliver them to Maurice. This will trigger one last cutscene leading to the completion of the mission.
